In my daily quest for randomness, I bring you an article about a South Korean actor who apparently has been driving women mad in Japan in a frenzy of Elvis-like proportions (he is credited for a $4 billion upsurge in business between Japan and South Korea!!!). I have also found pictures of him, and he looks nothing as much as a Korean, grown-up Harry Potter. Yup.

Bored and in need of an angst fix.

Crichton being prodded with sporks story, anyone? The crew of Firefly awash in a sea of angst? Tortured Lee fic? Tortured Max fic? Tortured anyone fic?

I need a hit of the angst drug.

OK, I am rewatching some of Roswell Liz and Max mushy bits, that is, and I started wondering about the most random thing: kissing.

Obviously, Max is not the first person Liz has kissed. She had kissed at least Kyle before, and I doubt he was the first boy she kissed: it doesn't appear as if he had the "first boyfriend evah" vibe with her (and of course you don't need to date a guy to kiss him).

But how about Max? The way he kisses her in Heatwave, he looks like he knows what he is doing. I rewatched this part a few times, what of it? But really, did he kiss anyone before her? Forget the whole "he's been in love with her since third grade" thing. I really can't imagine Max, who is withdrawn almost to the point of pathological shyness in the beginning of the show (though of course he is not shy in the least, just trying so hard to stay unnoticed he might as well dissapear), randomly macking on some girl. Though I guess he could always have gone to summer camp or something and some girl who didn't care about his lack of interest or interaction because he is so bloody gorgeous could have chased after him and hey, he is only (half)human. Or maybe this is one of those "buried from past life memories" things. Either that, or he is naturally talented :D

Isabel? Oh, considering she is Miss Popular and is going on dates all the time...plenty of kissing before the series.

Maria? We never see anyone she's dated before or even a mention, but hey, we know her first kiss was at 13 (which is seriously yucky: how good would a 13 year old boy be?). I still doubt she dated much. She's a bit too weird.

Michael: who knows. Him I can totally see macking on some random girl just for a kissing or a make-out session and neither party being interested in anything more. Hmmmm....

Do you think I spent too much time thinking about random stuff? You'd be right!
