Honestly, sometimes I space out and have to go 'wait, what did I miss?' from the sheer gorgeousness of Wallace Huo in Vigilantes in Masks. I think Li Gexiao just might be the most gorgeous drama lead I've ever seen, beating out even Huang Xiaoming as Yang Guo in Return of Condor Heroes.






Seriously, it's unreal. I've only seen him clean-cut before and he was good-looking, of course. But the scruffy version is a whole other level altogether.

Oh, and the OTP continues to be super-awesome.

The amazing ockoala linked me to this clip of an upcoming Four/Ruoxi scene.

I think I might just die from the chemistry and intimacy and comforting...



OMFG I ship those two so ridiculously much.

While we are on topic of LSS, I am very excited about her upcoming drama Xuanyuanjian with Hu Ge (who is, sadly, not playing her love interest). The trailer looks fun:

You know how I said I won't cap BBJX any more because repeat downloads of the same ep are a waste of time? Well, I lied. I downloaded ep 11 just so I could cap all the amazing Ruoxi/Eight scenes.

In other cdrama obsession news, since I just posted a Ruby/Wallace QSHF mv, have a Ruby/Yan Kuan one. I can tell I am going to ship them so hard it's going to hurt.

First off, seeing how cdrama-obsessed I am lately, I probably should make a 'most anticipated' list. But for now, let's do something else.

1. Firstly, my love BBJX. I found this 'shall Ruoxi pick Four or Eight' vid. It features clips from eps I haven't seen yet and all I can say is OMFG I am going to die when Four/Ruoxi finally becomes canon because even in the clips their chemistry is insane. I feel like I am intruding. Seriously insane.



Completely random thought - I keep wondering what will turn Four from a smart bystander into a dedicated contender - he seems to have very few people he cares for but those he cares for he will go to the wall for. I bet if he found out Eight was Ruoxi's boyfriend or if someone messed with Thirteen (because we know, historically, Thirteen spent a decade under house arrest), he'd go psycho.

Also, courtesy of spcnet, have this promo pic, in which it looks like Four and Eight would much prefer each other to fighting over Ruoxi :P Pssst, Ruoxi, maybe you don't have to choose - clearly a threesome is the way to go.

If, like me, you have a fondness for Thirteen (my favorite brother!) and a sneaking, irrational fondness for Thirteen/Lu Wu, have this promo pic. OMG, please tell me their friendship/companionship will progress to something else soon. Before their inevitable gruesome demise, that is, as I am sure nobody in this story is allowed more than 2.5 seconds of happiness.



2. Second, thanks to hanjae for the heads-up, the subbed trailer for Mystery in the Palace is out. Murders, maidservants and Kevin Cheng rocking the queue. All of you fail for not informing me that heroine and her OTP are possibly brother and sister. Who know they may be yet keep on consistently making googly-eyes at each other.

3. Of all the upcoming dramas from any country, I am most obsessed by Qing Shi Huang Fei with Ruby Lin as a princess loved and desired by two very different warlords. I found this awesome MV for Ruby/Wallace. I am firmly on Ruby/Yan Kuan bandwagon because he's the one who (1) didn't kill her father; (2) didn't hold her OTP hostage to force her to marry him. But still, I adore Wallace so I believe some hatesex would be in order. This drama looks ridiculously gorgeous and I cannot wait for it. I literally rewatch the 15-min trailer on a regular basis.

The whole Mt. Emei arc was pretty much designed to make me even more obsessed with Gexiao/Sanniang.



They are so frelling amazing. I've always loved Wallace Huo and Liu Shi Shi, but this just might be their favorite characters for me.

OMG, they need to hook up so badly! He desperately needs something to live for that isn't the mission and she needs to be with someone who will be fine with being with a strong, reserved woman with trust issues.

Random note - it seems Liu Shi Shi's two latest leading men - Nicky Wu (BBJX) and Wallace Huo (ViM) are going to be in a drama together. I say, can we dispense with a heroine and have them be slashable with swords? Or maybe cast LSS and see who she has more chemistry with :P

And while we are on the topic of period drama OTPs that drive me wild, have a MV or two of Qing Chuan/Eight from Jade Palace Lock Heart, i.e. the other 'woman time-travels to Qing and gets involved with Kang Xi's sons' drama. BBJX is indubitably the better drama, not to mention more realistic, but I confess to loving JPLH more because it has a more traditional narrative (think shoujo with some romance novel stuff) and because Eight and Qing Chuan seem set to win "Mousie's favorite OTP of the year' award. I haven't been this obsessed with a couple for a long time. The fact that Yang Mi and Feng Shao Feng have ridiculously insane chemistry helps. Yes, I am one of the crazy FengMi shippers - I have no opinion on rl hookups or anything but I believe they should be ordered to star together in perpetuity. When is Legend of Tiger Amulet coming out again?
