Strangely enough i never had warmfeelings for his mom. She is one cold fish.
I just love that he tries to be such an asshole and trying to do something totally different from his medical profession only to get into auto-mode whenever there is someone who needs medical help. It seems like a switch is clicked and he just does as he has been taught, it is almost against his will :)
I've only seen 2 eps, so I've yet to form a proper opinion of mommy dearest. Right now she comes off smewhat wry more than a cold. So far she's been a good instigator of comic relief. May well turn out to be fishy in the end, we'll see. She's one of those 'business types' after all. :)
Yeah, the good doc seems to be functioning on autopilot most of the time. When he's not trying to be an a-hole, that is. I presume he'll wake up at some point.

Funny sidenote: The dog!!! The dog is awesome ... the production actually had to use whimpering etc. from tape as the dog just sat there happy to be out and about although most of the scenes he was leashed to his/her dog house. There were several scenes like that. Dog looks happy, almost zen like (like Cenour) and it is supposedly in distress, and the sound mechanics put the most tearjerking whimpering over the scene though when you know dogs, you can see it is happy as a clam :) And you could see that the dog was no where near when our doc with issues was shouting at it and kicking the dog house (with the dog supposedly whimpering and cowering inside) *rotflmao*
