Dr. Who: Midnight and Turn Left
Jun. 22nd, 2008 11:53 pmWatched Doctor Who's 'Midnight' and 'Turn Left.'
Midnight was BRILLIANT. My favorite episode this season, by far. It really makes me wonder why the Doctor even bothers saving people sometimes, though. His having his voice stolen, and his mobility and being all helpless was horrific.
I am in a minority, I think, but while TL was entertaining, it didn't really capture me much and is a solid but not great ep, IMO. The ending was BRILLIANT though. EEEE! I suppose part of it is that we already had England as dystopia as S3 finale two-parter, and nothing could be as horrific as that future. Another reason is that I enjoy Donna and think she is a very cool woman but I am not emotionally attached to her so all the angst was interesting but not moving for me, if it makes sense. I have been emotionally detached this whole season though, in general. I think Midnight was the first time I actually felt emotionally connected to Ten the whole season (as opposed to just finding him entertaining).
However, ROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this cap makes me glee...when he begins to suspect it was Rose.

And Bad Wolf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And in conclusion:

ROSE!!!!
Yes, I am a mad shipper (and Rose fan). Whatever. Let me enjoy my GLEE now. I bet by the time of season finale I'll be bawling. Again.
