dangermousie: (Aragorn/Arwen coronation)

Well, I thought HBP was excellent, but it brought it another round of horrible badfic at ff.net. No spoilers. Boy, these people work fast. Btw, canon? What's that?

The sequel to Slytherin in VS Gryffendor.Marcus,Victoria,LauraDerrick, and Spike from BTVS try to get Draco and Ginny to fall in love.Marcus and Victoria fall in love too.Go figure MOC,DG. X over with BtVS READ SLYTHERIN VS GRYFFENDOR FIRST!

I have no idea who the first three (or is it four) people are, but I really hope that after Spike finishes being a matchmaker he will have a tasty snack of them.

Lexie, this is Ron. Ron this is my daughter.' Ron nearly choked. 'Daughter' He asked, in disbelief. Hermione nodded. 'That's right, my daughter.' RonHermione Please read and review.

Before this story is over, Ron will wish he did choke for real.

Flint and Malfoy get in a fight with Gryffindor's newest chasers.Snape's niece oc and her friend oc.What happends when Flint starts to have have feelings for Snape's niece? Will they become friends or something more?Prequel to The Serpent and The Lion

It sounds like a lesbian oc/oc. But unfortunately, it turns into a Flint Mary Sue. Truly, no character will be forgotten. No matter how insignificant or dull, he will suffer the Mary Sue.

Blaise Zabini is head of a secret spy organisation. Hermione Granger is heir to a hiding branch of British nobility. Both are hiding who they are and pretending to be a average. What happens when they are forced to marry and live together? A race to gain

JKR, it was dangerous to give Blaise a gender!

After finding out her parents are dead, Hermione stays at Hogwarts over the summer. Dumbledore appoints Snape to be her guardian. SnapeHermione...review please.

*chokes*

HBP Changes everything! Can Harry and Hermione be together!

Is it a question (in which case I have a short answer) or a story (in which case, save me!)

The Order members aren't insane. They're not. Hell no, nothing odd happens here. No siree.

I wish I could say the same about your story.

What happens when Harry Potter and Remus Lupin go through a wardrobe? They enter the magical land of Narnia of course. But Remus is hiding something from Harry, something from the past.

Yes, it's the fact that he used to be Frodo. Then he got bitten by werewolf-Aslan and kicked out of Narnia.

Harry's grief has changed him. What will his friends think? New enemies, new allies, and a new attitude, as Harry begins his quest to survive. Independent but not Evil Harry!

Because independent people are usually BAAAAAD.

The trio inadvertantly find a new Black. The young girl is attacked and has to learn to deal with her new powers. Ok i can't do summeries but give it a go. HHr&ROC

Her powers consist of writing misspelled Mary Sues, which (if HHr&ROC are any indication) participate in a group orgy.

AU Post OOTP. Alone at Privet Drive, Harry finally snaps and leaves. That’s when he meets Chloe – a mysterious fugitive with a strange power and a dark past. Beta'd by Siriusly Amused author of Hogwarts High.

At least her name is less than six syllables long.

For those of you who thought HBP was lousy and would like to shar my anguish, and for those of you who think I'm wrong and reckon they can convince me otherwise please do! I'm depressed!

I don't think I'd like to shar anything. Sounds dangerous.

You know, The Summary Game has got to be pretty much the only good thing to come out of ff.net.

The number of Mary Sues is wild. WILD.

And the hilarious thing is there is NO character that doesn't have one. Sauron? Check. Voldemort? Check. Some random character that has two lines and no personality to speak of? Check.

Have you seen the amount of people on lj and on the net at large who are up in arms over HBP? I read someone who even claimed that it was "OOC fanfic". Right. Because whenever the author decides to write a pairing you don't agree with, with her own original characters, according to her plans for them, it's out of character fanfic, because the fans know the characters so much better than the author does.

It's freakin' hilarious. So far I'll have seen are Sirius/Remus shippers who are frantically demanding that Tonks and Remus must be using each other as beards. In spite of the fact that, in canon, JKR never even hinted that either was gay, that was just the fans reading between the lines.

Not that I don't think homosexuality exists in the wizarding world, of course (I'm seriously thinking Eldred Worple + Sanguini = couple), I just think that everyone is as the author describes them and we shouldn't make up our own facts about them and then think we're more right than the creator.

Of course, I'm sure there are many Harry/Hermione shippers out there desperately holding on to their pairing, hoping against hope that maybe Ron'll die in the seventh book or something, writing alternate universes and whatnot. The aftermath of the romantic pairings in HBP alone are ridiculous. I bet JKR knew this would happen, too. I get the feeling she really likes to stir things up sometimes.

Basically, unless it's text, you are going with subtext. And while R/S ship wasn't my thing, I could see how someone could arguably come up with it. But it's not like in OOTP she said they were a couple, so come on! In fact I could think of good arguments against it, so it was definitely not set in any kind of stone.

As to H/H shippers, I am confused as it was clear from Book 4, at the latest, that Ron and Hermione like each other. I really don't see how they were coming up with H/H. I ship Harry/Ginny but I wouldn't have been surprised if it never happened (though when JKR made Ginny's role so prominent, I thought there is a good chance for H/G), but Ron/Hermione has been evident for ages!

Re: Worple/Sanguini. That wouldn't surprise me a bit. :)

I agree about Ron/Hermione. He was so hopelessly crushing on her in the fourth book, and it was so obvious at the Yule Ball when he stared at her and Krum all night. And then he yelled at her afterwards for "fraternizing with the enemy", saying she was betraying Harry by going with Krum; bullshi, Ronald Weasley, you just wish she'd gone with you, tee hee hee.

I've been shipping Harry/Ginny longer than R/Hr (since the second book as opposed to the third) but I wouldn't have been surprised either if that never came to anything. Oh man, everyone is hooking up with Weasleys. Why does Ron have half as many siblings as I do, but his family sees twice as much romance? Actually, I'm thinking it's probably a good thing, since I have mostly sisters and quite a lot of them are very young yet.

Well, if I were an ardent S/R shipper, I think I would have a hard time totally letting go. I wouldn't say I knew *better* than the author though--I might say that to me, R/S fit together better, or I like them better or whatnot, and I think I could still ship them... I mean, isn't one of them dead? There's a lot of ways you could play around with the canon if you wanted, I think... but that wouldn't mean dismissing it.

JKR, it was dangerous to give Blaise a gender!

What do you mean? People thought he could be a girl? But -- at least in French-speaking countries, and that's a French name -- Blaise is a man's name. And definitely not one of those "can also be given to a girl" men's name, like Leslie or Ashley. Nope, something like Bruce.

A number of fanfics, including one of the most popular ones (Draco Trilogy by Cassandra Claire which has literally thousands of reviews) made Blaise a girl. Now however, he is doomed to be paired with Hermione, Ginny, Luna and all Mary Sues in creation.

Heh! What I meant is that by naming him Blaise, she almost automatically gave him a gender, because it's totally a boy's name. It's a French name (definitely old-fashioned in France, but still fairly common in ex-French colonies in West Africa) that may not be too familiar to English speakers, which explains the confusion. It's as if, as a French speaker, I didn't know well certain English names, and thought that a character named Bruce could perfectly be a girl. That would make you snicker. :)

I'm having fun watching the hilarious shipper wars that have ensued from HBP. I also like the fanfic writers so mortally in denial that their ship has been sunk.

The trio inadvertantly find a new Black.
Pink is this years black.

Independent but not Evil Harry!
Harry doesn't like Democrats OR Republicans.
