Food, Glorious Food!

Because I am a bit hungry and because they are so pretty, I bring you pictures of yummy, super-pretty, and super-delicious Japanese food.

When I booked us into a ryokan in Kyoto, I signed up for their dinner and breakfast service because I thought it would save time and because I thought it sounded interesting to try traditional cuisine, and it would be the easiest way for someone like me or Mr. Mousie, neither of whom is capable of navigating a menu in Japanese.

That was one of the best food decisions I ever made :P

Oh my goodness. Such lovely food! One of the things I really adore about Japanese food is how exquisitely everything is presented. And though they look like small meals, it's a wonder that they can make you full, right?? :D Thanks for sharing the pictures! :)

These look sooooooooo yummy. I'm planning on a trip to Japan next year, and I'm also planning on eating myself silly with food like this and the cake shops. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It all looks so interesting and well presented. What is it all and what did you love the most of what you have pictured? I'm rather curious.

Most of it was great (I was a goner for the food in Japan except for natto which I did not like). The crunchy, shell-looking thing was my fave though.
