...but are Vic Zhou and Barbie Xiu still together or are they broken up? scottishlass has read that they are over since Silence premiere on a board and I went to a board where people were talking of them as still together as of a few weeks back, so I am thoroughly confused. I want to get confirmation one way or another because I can't find anything about their status on line myself. I figure catdecember or je12_vz09 would know where to look.

In other news, subbed ep 7 of Silence is out. Yay!

And in yet other news (yes, I am pathetic fangirl, I live with it every day :P), I knew that Vic was making a HK movie, but I just found out it's directed by the same man who did Turn Left Turn Right, one of my favorite, delicious, romantic, adorable movies (with Takeshi Kaneshiro and Gigi Leung). EEEEEE!

Also, upcoming doramas to obtain are: Kamisama, Mou Sukoshi Dake (Takeshi Kaneshiro! crazy levels of angst!) Musashi (period swordfights), Trick (all meganbmoore's fault), Kurosagi (because everyone seems to be raving about it) and Sapuri (I blame winterspel), and Korean doramas My Girl (because kitsune714 is very persuasive and Loveaholic because aaaangst and Taiwanese doramas At Dolphin Bay (because it sounds romantic and angsty), Ace wo Nerae because hope_fuleigh is persuasive (and it has cute boys and tennis!), Fairy From Wonderland meganbmoore is a good pusher and Millionaire's First Love because it sounds mushy. And I still have a huge backlog of doramas I already have but haven't watched or haven't watched fully so oh boy...

Btw, I saw a MV on the plane for a Japanese dorama that I am dying to find out more about. It involves a guy who is on the swim team and a girl who is a diver and there is almost kissing and adorableness. Any idea?

Also, Veronica Mars is almost upon us! Seeing all the pics from parties and what not has gotten me excited again. And OMG OMG OMG! Logan and Veronica do it! Yay! And we get to see (well as much as network TV allows :P). You have no idea of MY GLEE! I don't care if it's implausible they wouldn't have waited the whole summer (though then again, they might have, as V's rape issues could have surfaced again, who knows). Because OMG, I wanted that so much. RT, I love you. Now please, no fake spitting as aftersex cuddles, OK? Had enough of that with Donut.

Also, you will love "My Girl". It is quite possibly one of my favorite kdramas of all time, and good grief, Lee Dong Wook is gorgeous. And "Kurosagi"...okay, I finally finished watching it, and oh god, it is so, so good. I'm actually starting "Sapuri" myself, so once I watch the first episode, I'll let you know what I think. (I'm so tempted to foist "Nobuta wo Produce" on you as well...)

"Kamisama mou sukoshi dake" was the first jdrama I ever really watched and aww, Takeshi was so young. And so tragically gorgeous. I mean, with a plotline like that, you know it's not going to be happy, but god, what a trip! It's like 12 episodes of crying and OTP-ness. My only complaint was that it was so sad that my eyes would be all watery and then I couldn't read the subtitles so I kept having to rewind to go back to parts I missed.

First: ICONLOVE.

Second, I am doing a gigantic "Nobuta" re-watch right now and totally need someone to meta with. I just checked out your NwP posts and...squee! See, when "Nobuta" was on last year, I was watching "Hana Yori Dango" at the same time, and, well, I didn't get a chance to enjoy NwP as much as I wanted to. Ergo: rewatch!

This is also spurred by my recent viewing of "Kurosagi", which...PI. Just...fwah. Knocked me dead, he did. He freaked me out a little in "Nobuta" (I still love Akira, don't get me wrong), but I was all distracted by Kame. Because he is so well-groomed, you see.

All of these dramas made me question that vow I made to avoid Johnny's Jimusho on principle, and now...I've accepted my fate. Which means that, for reasons I can't quite remember, I now have like thirty-two assorted KAT-TUN/NewS/TOKIO/V6 PVs sitting on my hard drive.

Johnny's is going to be the death of me, I'm sure...but what a way to go!

See, I didn't even know that JE was an evil that must be avoided. I came to JE through Takuya Kimura and SMAP, and I actually like KAT-TUN's debut album - which thus began my downward spiral into Johnny's. :) I'm very happy as a JE fan, and I'm so far out of the target demographic that it's not to be believed.

If you ever want MORE JE-related stuff, I have an enormous KAT-TUN library, lots of NEWs and other JE-related stuff as well. Live perfs, variety show stuff, you name it. Over 50G of KAT-TUN alone. No, I'm not obsessive at all, why do you ask? ;)

I think I'm taking Kurosagi (and Kimi wa Petto) on the plane when I go to Europe next week...I have such a backlog of doramas to get through and never enough time. Thank goodness for my iPod! I never thought I'd be using it to watch Japanese dramas...

I came to JE through TOKIO and Tomoya Nagase and it's been quite a struggle to contain my inner fangirl. :) See, I was all about F4 for a significant portion of my youth, and considering the amount of hard drive space and funds invested in aforementioned boyband, I had to restrain myself against JE for a while--the sheer logistics of JE boybands are astounding! There are dramas, commercials, PVs, interviews, variety shows, not to mention the music! I saw "Mukodono" a few years ago, and then my little sister brought home an Arashi CD and...well. Needless to say, JE was wearing me down. I just got the KAT-TUN album myself and I actually like it way more than I thought I would.

It's taken them a while, but JE has finally worn me down. I mean, who was I kidding? I am such a sucker for boybands, in all forms. It's pretty impossible for me to resist group of good-looking boys, singing and dancing, while wearing shiny costumes XD.

Thank you for your JE library offer--I'll be sure to take you up on it sometime (especially because ever since darkeyedwolf's KAT-TUN pimp post, I've been watching the SIGNAL PV non-stop!). I have to say that while TOKIO and V6 were my first JE bands, I think I like KAT-TUN the best. Even more than (gasp!) Arashi, though I can't figure out why.

I use my iPod for doramas too! It's great for when I fly back home from school, because it's such a long trip. I love "Kimi wa Petto"--it's one of the first MatsuJun doramas I ever saw and it's still one of my favorites.

Heh, well, I'm only about eight months into Japanese entertainment, full stop. I started with Takuya Kimura and jdoramas in February, and moved on to everything else, and it's all been like a roller coaster this year, because I have absolutely no background with any Asian entertainment except a handful of Chinese & Hong Kong films before this. I had no idea that any of this even existed, much less that I might actually enjoy it. I've never really like boybands in my life! And yet, here I am. ;)

*glee* You've seen darkeyedwolf's amazing KAT-TUN pimp post - that thing is spectacular and so much love. I adore KAT-TUN - they embody the most what I call the "sex+dork phenomenon" that is at the heart of all JE groups. They are SO crack!

The thing with "Kurosagi" is that it is the most romantic OTP-type show I've ever seen that has no romantic ending. It's pretty much all UST, all the time...but god, they do it so well. I had issues with it because, um, there was no kissing, but there was so much eyesex going on. Seriously, Yamapi does the Angsty Stare of Repressed Emotions so well.

KMSD is oh god, so angsty. There are hospital scenes, there is crying in the rain, crying in a dark room, crying in a busy park...Fukuda Kyoko manages to cry really, really prettily, too. And Takeshi! Oh, Takeshi.

seems that you really like vic zhou. last night when we were walking around random streets in hanoi i saw lots of posters of vic sold by street vendors. if u really like him i can send u a poster :) i saw heaps of rain and goong too (will post them up as soon as i have the time). in the meantime i've got a lot of sightseeing to do. my boss gave me the day off (to my surprise). god he's nice, i can kiss him right now (errr... or not...) lol ;)

The Takeshi Kaneshiro one I mentioned is very angst heavy but I suggest reading on the premise first because it is somehat odd.

A Love to Kill, my favorite Korean dorama, has inredible levels of angst and is beautifully shot (though I admit by the end my angst capacity was rather maxed out).

Silence has the potential for MAJOR angst.

I am going to think of some more...
