Farscape and dramas :)

dangermousieJust a heads-up: both subs for ep 2 of Zettai Kareshi and eps 3-4 of Powerful Opponents are out. I am going to have a lot to catch up on when I emerge out of my Aishiteiru to Itte Kure daze (I am on ep 8 now, and I just feel the angst is going to hit because Kohji's ex-gf came back and nooooo! I am normally all about angst but I love Kohji/Hiroko too much and want only flowers and puppies and eventually babies, for them).
In other news, I have been continuing my Farscape rewatch and have just finished the Into the Lion's Den two-parter and part of 'Dog with Two Bones.'
So good. How do I always forget how viscerally good Farscape is?
It's interesting how the two-parter is in many ways just as horrifying for the Moyans and Crichton as the three-parter near-ending of S2 was, even if in different ways. Not the least because Crichton has to commit yet another soul-killing, 'is it really for the best' act (there are no easy answers in FS, are there?) and Aeryn to destroy her home. For some reason, what gets me the most is that he has to use Aurora Chair on someone. He is doing to someone what has been done to him.
Of course, this is also the first time we meet the awful Grayza.
And of course the final scenes with Scorpius have a feeling of a grand tragic opera, and I remember that is the first time I got a grudging respect for Scorpy, the way he acts when his world falls around his ears. I love the scene of the two of them staring at each other.
And of course the equations pouring out of Crichton, almost without volition...he is so falling apart in so many ways. And after all the destruction, I love the quiet, mute scene with him and Aeryn sitting, two cursed people, side by side, without talking and touching.
And I have so many thoughts on DWTB (OMG, Crichton's helpless adoration of Aeryn always makes me melt) but they deserve their own post.
