Hanadan and other stuff...

You do NOT want to know how many times I've rewatched the abandoned house scene in the last ep of Hana Yori Dango 2. It's so perfect it makes me grin and sniffle at the same time: so tender and sweet and perfect. Like the drama itself (I confess to loving Hanadan 2 more than first season and not because I didn't love the first season). I have so much more meta on it coming up.

I have finished volume 4 of Can't Lose You, and mmm. Nope. This manhwa went from 'cute shoujo' to 'weird, and not in a good way' really quick. It's only 6 volumes total so I'll finish it, but Snow Drop it ain't. And even though it's 6 volumes it feels barebones, character-wise somehow, the way a four volume MeruPuri does not.

I meant to check it(and a few others) out a while back, then my disposable funds were eaten up by these things called doramas someone on my friends list was babbling about.

But yeah, I'll likely check it out when the backlog is smaller and I'm not following as many series.

Can't recall now...though they also like manga and anime and it took me FOREVER to convince them to watch one of the best doramas ever.

Actually, I think Snow Drop is the only one of those mangas(the others were Bleach, D.Gray-Man, Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto) that I haven't checked out yet...likely because, unlike the others, it's not ALWAYS in stock(not counting a few I tried but didn't stick)

okay "can't lose you" is not a worth buy.... i read the first page and it looked okay but thanks for the tip....

yeah i have to agree i love this season a little more than the last one, even though at certain parts i was hella frustrated the way it ended just made it worth it. and awww i love watching the whole remembering scene and how it tied into the first season getting suck on an elevator *awww*.... but his proposal was pretty over the top and very tsukasa like..

I understand the cute --> weird feeling! I just bought the Loveless manga at Barnes and Nobles because the pictures looked soo pretty, and lo and behold, 30 pages in it's shounen-ai/pedophilia... kinda. Wheew, didn't see that coming, though I admit, I think I'll continue to read it to see if it steers away from that direction. Yeah, that was completely unrelated, I know ;P.

And HYD episode 11 love, seriously, that was awesome. We sere so spoiled by the writers this time <3!

I recently read the first volumes of Can't Lose You and thought it ok, even the weird prophecy stuff that came in on vol. 4. And I keep picturing Joo Ji-Hoon as Gil Gaon ;-)...

At least it's short. When I was deciding what to get from the recommendations list I got through that post on my LJ, I was quite daunted by length of some of the series on the list :P.

Still, as you said, Snow Drop it ain't . That one was just brilliant!

The last episode of Hanadan was really wonderful. I'm going to wait for the SARS version before I rewatch it though, because I wan't to watch it with subs the next time.
