ETA: OMG OMG OMG! We are finally going to find out what happened in New York. Though much as I appreciate it, for someone who's been kidnapped twice, Makino is a bit off-hand about getting into cars with people she doesn't know well.

And I agree with you re. Shigeru. At first I thought the reason why I was starting not to like her (unlike my reaction to her in the manga) was because she was being more thickheaded and leechlike than in the manga. Because I think she's a very pretty girl, and usually I have quite a high tolerance for pretty people. Then I realised that everytime she talked I just got very annoyed. (Then again, it could have something to do with the fact that whatever she says always goes some way to hurt Tsukushi/Tsukasa.)

anyways, yeah shigeru the little twerp told tsukushi that in eps 3 when she came crying to tsukushi about how tsukasa said he'll date her and tsukushi said congratulations. well shigeru *holding myself back from hitting her with a frying pan* that tsukushi should honor her promise and be her friend. yeah in a nut shell shigeru told tsukushi that she needs to let go since tsukushi already gave tsukasa to shigeru... * hating shigeru*
and yeah i was crying when tsukushi gave tsukasa the necklace, he looks sooo sad.. and the scene with oneesan and tsukushi with the teddybear well we find out why tsubaki is helping tsukushi and tsukasa. it has to do with tsubaki and her first love and how she never fought for it and she wants better for both tsukushi and tsukasa.
ahhhh 6 more days.... i don't know if i'll make it...

Anyhow. Soujirou was always a womanizer, but he had a childhood friend named Sara who always cheered him up (since Soujirou's home life is less than ideal). When she's at his house once again, she falls over (after they were kidding around) and Soujirou grabs her to save her from hitting her head. Sara gets flustered, Soujirou notices this. He shrugs it off completely because he's afraid of how it would change their relationship. Sara stays out all night with friends and ends up waiting on a rooftop for the trains to start running again. She sees something on the roof. She calls Soujirou and tells him to meet her on top of the building at 5 a.m., but he deletes the message, believing that if he ignores the problem, it will go away and they'll go back to the way they were. He goes and sleeps with some other woman, feels guilty, and on his way home Sara's waiting for him outside his house and tells him goodbye.
Years later, Soujirou is still regretting it when Yuuki comes on the scene and tries to snag him. Because of her profound guts (she almost forced herself to sleep with him but he stopped her because she's not that kind of girl), he decides to tell her this whole affair. Yuuki spends the next few weeks checking every building you can see the Tokyo Tower from (the only clue Soujirou remembers) at 5 a.m. When she gets to the last building on her list, she finds what it was that he was supposed to see:
When the light hits the buildings at this angle, you can see two signs say "Suki" and "Jiro" (meaning, "I love you, Jiro." Sara called Soujirou Jiro). Yuuki brings Soujirou to see, and kablammo. Man pain.
You've probably already guessed that Sara is Yuuki's tea instructor in the drama. In the manga it was just her friend from a club at school, and Soujirou and Sara don't reunite until waaaay later on because Doumyouji and Tsukushi have major angst for about 5 volumes that monopolizes the storyline.

LOL that was one of my favorite things you wrote and the teddy bear thing. How they always wear tops but not bottoms. :)
Rui does really have horrible timing. His constant angsting is breaking my heart. The playing the violin beautifully then the strings break and walking alone and seeing valentine's chocolate for sale *cries* I really hope we get to see happy ending for Rui too. The bridge scene broke my heart when Dom said he can only think of her. I love how all the way before this he was making me laugh for being so excited and making such hilarious faces then he makes me all teary. Gah, the promos killed me too. Soujiro crying is killer! The cleaning scene was very cute lol baby pandas you're hilarious. How does it get better with every episode?? I don't know what I'm going to do when this series end. If only they would make Hanadan 4,5,6....
