dangermousieIt is 7am! On a Saturday! I am up at 7am on a weekend. After getting barely 5 hours of sleep.
All because I can't wait to watch Hanadan 2, ep 3. What on earth are you doing to me, drama?
So yeah, more live-blogging. You know, in some ways, it's even more enjoyable to watch the raw because it's the first time seeing this (as opposed to when I rewatch with subs) but also because I get to really pay attention to the faces.
ETA: Heeee. They go straight to the credits this time. Good. Gives me a chance to mentally prepare myself for what will undoubtedly be the continuation of the Domyouji-kisses-a-girl-that-is-not-Makino horror.
ETA: You know, I didn't think this song would grow on me as much as I did, but three eps in, and I might love it as much as "Wish" (which is still one of the most addictive songs out there). 'Flavor of Life' though? Love it but 'Planetarium' still wins.
ETA: Do I have to look at Shigeru more in 'previouslys'? I don't wanna!
ETA: GUUUUH, they are repeating the kiss scene. Nooooooo. Once was enough thank you. That's the only part I didn't rewatch. I could kill Domyouji for turning Makino's nervous anticipation into looking like this...I am sure he has good reasons but still...
ETA: Also, how does Shigeru walk on heels this high and thin? I am impresed. But you know what I was thinking? Comparing Makino's nice enough but nowhere near as expensive looking, and rather sensible and flat-heeled brown boots to those. Sort of the whole thing in a nutshell.

ETA: I just realized something. I know why it didn't even occur to him about Makino seeing the kiss. Because normally Makino is the kind of girl who would have marched there and smacked him in the face. But because of their previous uncertainties, he doesn't realize that she's now not believing that he still loves her so her certanties are gone. And I can see why he really can't call her etc etc etc.

ETA: And as soon as I said that I can see why he didn't call, the imperial march starts playing on Tsukushi's phone (as she is still fixating on the kiss). YES. ETA: Domyouji looks appalled and a little scared and thoroughly unhappy. Kaede? Seeing her son this way? Is laughing like life is great. I think that sums it all up, really. She doesn't enjoy tormenting him (other than the fact that she likes getting her own way and doesn't want to be thwarted by him) but she doesn't really care one way or another about anything except what she wants so nothing affects her, nothing her actions cause others gives her any pause.
ETA: God. Shigeru. Just shut up. For a minute. Seriously, if I were Makino, I'd kill her. Even if it wasn't about the boyfriend thing, I'd still throttle her, just to get some quiet. ETA: YES! My favorite things! Domyouji/Makino shouting match/fight. YES. That is how we know they care, people :) They both have plenty of reason to be mad at each other (they justifiably think) so...eeeeee! Also, the fact that Domyouji refers to himself as 'ore-sama' shouldn't make me as happily amused as it does, but...there it is.
ETA: Hhhh, Rui is quietly walking away (with a book!! Yes! Rui, if you like books, I can take you to the Library of Congress. Wanna go?) After Makino? I love the brief look of anxiety on Domyouji's face as he sees this, that he squelches.

She sounds like she is trying to convince herself of something and he looks so...I know it's a weird word to use, but...broken? Miserable? Almost scared? I don't know. But I love his 'quiet' voice with her and that little quick upward glance from under his eyelids he does, which is sort of as if it's outside his control, his body's reactions to her. You know, I just love how concentrated he is on her when they are together. It's like he watches everything, and with a great deal of force. Like he is a lot more awake than usual, (not that he is normally half-asleep:)) and that just every little thing about her is crucial to him. And I love that now it's she who is avoiding looking at him, who is talking really fast, and her eyes keep wandering and ohhhh, poor Makino. She is trying to stay strong because she thinks it's all conclusively hopeless and she doesn't want to be hurt any more and I understand that, but guuuuuuh. How about F3 just locks them in somewhere until they sort it out?
ETA: OMG. She collects herself, and tries on a really wobbly smile, and says 'bye-bye' and walks away, even though she is rather near tears and the look on his face! And he just stands stock still, watching her leave. And she is almost running and now that he can't see her, she is failing to supress her crying. And the Flavor of Life song is playing. Thank you, drama. You are turning me into a watering pot.
ETA: And Rui sees. And he runs after her! And sees she is going to be OK, so turns and walks away before she notices. I love Rui. Love him.

But when he opens that cookie box, and the cookie is sorta in pieces and he just touches a piece, very gently. GUUUUUH. (I get the sense he actually doesn't even let himself open the box very often. Only when he feels really really horrible. It's like a whole ritual thing). OMG, if he is that nuts over one cookie, what will he do if Makino bakes him a dozen? :D I can see him having hoards all over the house and Makino having to go look for them to throw out before they get mice and he won't let her and she would be 'eat them or throw them out' and he'd be 'but I can't eat your cookies because that would be destroying them' and she would be 'I'll bake you some more, argh!' and OK, I better stop before I completely prove that I am insane.

She doesn't enjoy tormenting him (other than the fact that she likes getting her own way and doesn't want to be thwarted by him) but she doesn't really care one way or another about anything except what she wants so nothing affects her, nothing her actions cause others gives her any pause.

ETA: What are Domyouji and Makino talking about on that porch? Can't be too fun. She sounds like she is trying to convince herself of something and he looks so...I know it's a weird word to use, but...broken? Miserable? Almost scared? I don't know. But I love his 'quiet' voice with her and that little quick upward glance from under his eyelids he does, which is sort of as if it's outside his control, his body's reactions to her. You know, I just love how concentrated he is on her when they are together. It's like he watches everything, and with a great deal of force. Like he is a lot more awake than usual, (not that he is normally half-asleep:)) and that just every little thing about her is crucial to him. And I love that now it's she who is avoiding looking at him, who is talking really fast, and her eyes keep wandering and ohhhh, poor Makino. She is trying to stay strong because she thinks it's all conclusively hopeless and she doesn't want to be hurt any more and I understand that, but guuuuuuh. How about F3 just locks them in somewhere until they sort it out?
ETA: OMG. She collects herself, and tries on a really wobbly smile, and says 'bye-bye' and walks away, even though she is rather near tears and the look on his face! And he just stands stock still, watching her leave. And she is almost running and now that he can't see her, she is failing to supress her crying. And the Flavor of Life song is playing. Thank you, drama. You are turning me into a watering pot.
ETA: And Rui sees. And he runs after her! And sees she is going to be OK, so turns and walks away before she notices. I love Rui. Love him.
ETA: Ummm, before I comment on the scene of angsty!Domyouji, may I first note that he should angst more often if it means he'll get to wear that awesome black and white combo? And then Makino can come in and take it off :D Thanks.
ETA: Ohhhh. Domyouji, the world's finest baked goods fetishist, is back. OK, OK, I joke because otherwise I'd be dripping tears on keyboard and that would short it out. But when he opens that cookie box, and the cookie is sorta in pieces and he just touches a piece, very gently. GUUUUUH. (I get the sense he actually doesn't even let himself open the box very often. Only when he feels really really horrible. It's like a whole ritual thing). ETA: Thing about foreigners #214. They are horribly rude everywhere. (Though I am relieved to note that these ones are a mixed bunch, ethnically). And now they pick the time to pick on Domyouji's hair and clothes? Now? When it's good? Where were they last season?
ETA: OMG, and Domyouji, the one who had such a temper and such a sense of his own alpha status and such capacity for violence is totally ignoring them at first, because all he is thinking about and hearing is Makino saying good-bye. Dammit. Drama, stop. I am not sniffling. Am not am not am not.
ETA: And then he is not ignoring them, but instead beating them to a bloody pulp, as a displacement for everything, and that is even worse because he it totally reverting to who he was before he fell for Makino, and my theory about the fact that if Makino was gone from his life for good, he'd fall apart and go back to making merry hell and being out of control and eventually end up on the slab/in jail/somewhere nice and quiet and far away from sharp objects is totally true.

I really love Sojiro/Yuki as well, they're so adorable! And although I wasn't the biggest Rui fan the first time around, I fell in love with him during the bubble scene in episode one and haven't looked back since. ♥ And even though I'm a big fan of Shigeru (I know, I know... Feel free to burn me at the stake :P) I don't want her with Domyoji - I just like her character a lot.
Oh, and Nishida. He may be a bit of a flunkie sometimes (it's because of that satanic bitch Kaede), but I've always loved him, and always will. He has that hot older guy thing going, and pulls through when it counts. And he's hot. But that's just my extremely weird taste talking.
I can't wait for the next episode either!! Domyoji better take some action, for real! And Rui/Shizuka is another one of my OTP's ^_^

Date: 2007-01-20 06:53 pm (UTC)okay in the opening scene after the whole kiss with shigeru (i know how you feel, she seems nice but come on, she tries to hard and she's not getting the hints). according to dear jun, tsukasa did set that up for a whole different reason, he wanted shigeru to find out about his relationship with tsukushi so shigeru would give up, but instead kinda did the opposite effect. he was trying to tell her that there is another woman he is destined for (makino) but yeah she left cause shigeru kissed him.
apparently kaede (devil in chanel) has major porblems in the company hence the hasty engagement between shigeru and tsukasa. she's manipulating tsukasa with the fact that if he rejects shigeru a lot of people with familes will lose their jobs. so the company apparently is going through the bad time.
yeah i was really laughing the whole time at akira's house with his mom and sisters. everything in that house was soooooooo cute and i guess we know now why he likes older women, less lace and cutesy stuff. the porch scene with tsukushi and tsukasa well it goes like this
"Makino : Shigeru is a really good person. She's a nice girl, and I think her personality fits with yours. I saw...you kissing with Shigeru.
Domyoji : No that's not...
Makino : I don't want to hear it! What's the point in saying anything now. It's not like we were able to meet. I thought we were dating but, but in real life it wasn't even like that. Even if we break up, and continuing as friends...I think that's impossible for me.
Domyoji : Makino...I have something to say to you...
Makino : I'm sorry about last time...calling you so suddenly...that won't happen again. Bye bye."
yup the reason tsukasa said he'd date shigeru is because tsukushi pushes him to and his mom and company, damn responsibilities.... i know it sucks but it's about to get good because during the meeting of the parents to finalize the engagement nishida lefft a note that said, makino fainted and taken to the hospital or something like that.
ohh when rui and tsukushi were talking in the library, ( i know rui is sooo hot and i love a man who loves books) he tells tsukushi that in two weeks shizuka in coming to visit and she says she would like to meet her since if it wasn't for her tsukushi wouldn't try getting into law.
