Yup. Of course, the fact that the character is basically Korean take on Robin Hood (a story I find addictive in almost any form) doesn't hurt.
Plus, I am excited! For the first half of this, I guess they didn't want the lead to be too attractive because he was still climbing to herohood, so they gave him an absolutely appalling hairdo. If it wasn't for the fact that I've already seen this actor look super-hot in normal hair and three-piece suits (he was in a drama set in 1930s, playing a playboy who becomes a revolutionary), I wouldn't have even noticed the hot :)
Or one of those myriads of dramas which have the hero gratuitously swim in a pool/angst in the shower for no reason whatsoever (MISA, QSS, Hello My Teacher, Goong, The devil, Loveholic etc etc etc etc).
Now I'm thinking of an awful melodrama where the hero either a) angsts in the shower in every episode b) swims angstily c) cries in massive pain so much he has to rip his shirt into pieces in order to breathe from all the heartbreak he feels, having lost everything, and then some d) comes home, gets ready to go to bed, takes shirt off - stops for a moment to consider his pained existence, and is thus forced to stop to ponder this agony as he shirtlessly plays black all the best OTP moments in the drama up to that point or e) all of the above. Yes, in every episode. Will it get repetitive? Will we get tired? Let's experiment!
Heeee. I think we should write a script. I suggest that at one point it should all become too much for him and he shall decide to die by exposure to the elements and thus wander around shirtless on the streets.
I love how considerate the makers were when they begun the series with "Yes, we have this droolworthy piece of manflesh *swings KJH with fab hair in front of the watchers* and he'll have to look less droolworthy for a while. But! Rest assured! The awesome will be back!"
OMG, rolled up once again, giggled embarassedly and realized that I have to flail some more. It looks so soft and silky! ;_;
I've got my sis-in-law into this hahah. It's her first kdrama and she's very obsessed atm :Dv. Also, she ships Yi Nok with the Prince which she finds better looking than GD. I've been forgiving so far because of the awful hair, but this'll change things XD.
