Am rereading L.M. Bujold's "A Civil Campaign" and it's just as lovely as I remembered. Any author that can make me fall for a 4'9" hyperactive hunchback is something extra. Ahhh, Miles!

Also, am looking forward to "Empire," ABC's miniseries on the end of the Republic. I am willing to overlook untold horrors to see men in togas. They might turn it into a series if it does well, yay!

Civil Campaign is truly the best Bujold book *ever*. So many plots, so many characters, so many in-jokes, and it's a comedy of manners dressed up as a space opera! There is truly nothing better in life. To quote Quinn, "Sneaky little dwarf, I love you!"

I also love Mark. There is no way not to love Mark. He's so *Mark*.

I admit Mark gets on my nerves (I have Mirror Dance hangover, where he had no good plan and almost got Miles killed), but the book is so good, I don't even mind him.
