Suppose you are a Princess, married off by your family to a man of different culture, religion and Kingdom. Man you've never met before the betrothal. Sad? Perhaps. Or maybe not, seeing that the man you marry is Emperor Akbar, as portrayed by one of the hottest actors ever, Hrithik Roshan.

Here is my (shamelessly) favorite scene from the movie. Jodhaa (Aishwarya Rai), newly married, and still rather a stranger to her husband, whom she's seen only a handful of times, and whose marriage is still unconsummated, spies on her husband training with a sword but sans a shirt. I could go on all post-modern and feministy and talk about how I like the reversal of the male gaze image, especially in such a male-dominated society as the Mughals, but who am I kidding? Aishwarya is beautiful, the chemistry is crazy, the sword is shiny, and Hrithik is beyond hot.

Short prequel: they had the mother of all fights, he's come to fetch her back, she won't go, he makes a bet. If he wins, she comes with him, and if he loses, she can stay.
