Hong Gil Dong is making me happpppppy!
Feb. 15th, 2008 02:18 pmSubs for ep 12 of Hong Gil Dong are out.
I could squeal with joy.
Also, I found this training pic (entirely unspoilery) and eeee! Kang Ji Hwan! With awesome hair! So much better than current mop. I can't wait until they get to that 'hair' point in the drama. Also, I seriously own that belt. Only I wear it with a knit punkish black dress.

Date: 2008-02-15 08:39 pm (UTC)How did they manage to have him with this hair in the beginning then? Did they really film that many eps before the start of airing, cut it like this and then filmed the early episodes? I'm so puzzled and really curious.
I agree the current hair is awful but at the same time it gives him a certain teddy bear-like huggability together with those heavy winter clothes and babyfisted (have you seen his hands when he is sleeping? adskjlfs) sleeping habits (the X shape splayed over random surfaces, awwwwwwwww).
Like so:

Date: 2008-02-15 09:05 pm (UTC)No rebel leader should look so adorable. Seriously. The fists thing is...eeee. I wonder if they do it to make him seem younger, at least maturity wise (no idea how old GD is supposed to be but KJH is 30).
Re: hair. They do film eps before showing but not all. So maybe they filmed all the early pre-cool hair eps, then filmed the prologue? And now are filming cool hair eps? No idea. I mean they could always curl/straighten, but his curly mop looks longer than the straight hair.

Date: 2008-02-15 09:24 pm (UTC)I think that makes sense (the age thing). He looks much sharper and somewhat more mature (as mature as GD is able to be that is) in the above pics. The situation with the stick-fighting(?) could be the reason, but I guess it has more to do with him losing excessive hair (like small baby animals growing up, eeeeeeeh!) and clothes.
And he got the small assymetric cut in the "1 year later" mark so he definitely had more hair after the initial scene of ep 1.
What? It's perfectly normal to ponder upon the hair issues of actors in distant Asian countries. I do so every day.

Gives the term 'a petting zoo' a whole different meaning :)

I do the same with clothes...seriously. Like I keep wandering why his clothes in 'cool hair' scenes (in the future) are so much nicer. His clothes when he was a slave were totally ratty and frayed. Now they are a little better though still not awesome. But quite spiffy in straight-hair scenes. Hmmmm.
P.S.
