(I have discovered dramabeans' blog and these news/pics are taken from there)

Adorableness of the day (Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye in Coffee Prince):

1. Apparently they make a Lee Jun Ki doll.

Yes.

I am having thoughts (which I will NOT carry out) of obtaining one and making it bond with my SRK doll. LOL.

After all, the real article in unavailable. Still, here are a few gorgeous pics of the flesh-and-blood prototype.

2. They are planning to turn Winter Sonata into an animated series. Have your amnesia, snow, blindness and quasi-cest in cartoon form! Double LOL. Whaaaaa? Whyyyyy? For whooooooom?

3. Korean station SBS is planning to make a drama called Daemul, based on a hugely popular adult manhwa the plot of which is a male escort seducing a female President. As in President of Korea. Oh, see. That is why I love dramas. Nobody in their right mind would make a show like that here. The closest we got in the broadcast of the British cute mini 'Me and Mrs Jones' about a tabloid reporter and female PM (with Robson Green).

4. Speaking of hotness, I love this pic of Waffle Sunki

5. A few more hot men and women.

Star of Beautiful Days, Lee Byung Hun (I finished the drama and still can't believe leukemia heroine got a hea. This is clearly a fake Korean drama):

Lee Da Hae:

You know how there is Hong Gil Dong and also LJK's upcoming Iljimae, both about heroic period robbers? Well, good things come in threes and apparently there is another take on Iljimae in the fall, starring this gentleman, Song Seung Heon. Yowza:

Jae Hee. Finally looking like he had a meal (his Mong-Ryong in DGCH is one of my fave drama guys ever):

Jumong himself:

Kang Ji Hwan of Hong Gil Dong:

Coffee Prince cuteness to conclude:

Korea, for a relatively small country, you certainly provide a disproportionate number hours of amusement and fun and hotness for me.

re: WS anime

A total WTF scenario, but now that I'm getting back into my anime/manga mode (thanks to your WANN author and Vampire Knight recs), am actually looking forward to it. It could be either really really bad or really really good (because it is just too weird). HEE.

And I was immediately going to get LJK doll (as he is my favorite kdrama actor, besides Lee Wan) but then when I saw the actual doll pic, I got freaked out. It's a guy with a girl's face and makeup! Just way too scary looking. Reminds me of the fact that I abhore dolls (ever since traumatized by the movie 'Chuckie'). I WAS going to make an exception for LJK, but LJK!doll is just too freaky. The eyes...*shudders*

And Lee Da Hae is SO SO HOT though I am unused to seeing her glamed out. She is clearly too great an actress as I believed in her cuteness/adorableness/innocent demeanor from all of her dramas. Not to say that she couldn't be this way anymore, just that the pic above is a sharp reminder that people are not necessarily who they play in dramas.

CP pics are just too adorable. Makes me wanna rewatch!

It will probably be just really really weird.

Yay, glad you are liking WK!

Re: doll. It looks nothing like LJK, sadly.

Ooh... I love her site! She usually has the synopsis up for Hong Gil Dong the night after the episode airs... so even if we're forced to wait for the subs, we can still be wonderfully spoiled and find out what happens in advance! I visited her site like mad back when Coffee Prince and Que Sera Sera were both airing... and unfortunately, it seems I'm still as inpatient now as I ever was back then. I'm actually surprised you didn't already know of her site. It's a must! ^_^

I am staying away from HGD summaries because I watch it with Mr. Mousie and it would unfair to be spoiled before him, but I love all the other stuff on there.

You hadn't heard of the LJK doll before? I was linked to it ages ago. Thrn again, I IM with the Girly-Man obsessives.

Lee Da Hae needs to seriously reconsider that wardrobe choice...

Wow. LJK doll, how interesting. I hope you don't mind if I take the Jumong pic. Might make it into an icon. And Lee Da Hae! I didn't even know she sings. So pretty though :D

EEE! I love Dramabeans blog! :) I think the only hard part is not reading the episode summaries. :P Though it did come in handy when I wanted to watch the episode before the subs so i read the summary along while watching. :)

1. The Jun Ki doll scares me :( It's head is just too big.
2. I agree, who is going to watch that? I didn't even watch the original *hides*
3. Daemul sounds interesting!
4. Waffle Sunki is so cute. I wonder if he has any upcoming projects.
5. Lee Da Hae: As much as i love her as an actress that pv really made me want to cry. Awful! :/

Awww, Coffee Prince. <33

Thanks for sharing and I agree with your comment about how Korea has entertained us so much. :) Btw, did you hear on the news how Korea's South Gate was burned down? :( So sad!

2. LOL

3. Could be good :)

4. I hope

5. Glad I skipped it then.

I heard about the Gate. Awful. Hope the guy goes to jail for a long time.

1. I agree.. i'm not big on dolls. I'm more of plushy toy person though i wouldn't want a plushy doll of Jun Ki. Okay, now i have weird images, lol. :P

5. I'm glad you did too, lol.

I agree! I only wished i was able to see it before it was burned down. :(

Poor Gong Yoo. Am currently in Korea and found it terribly tragic that he went into his military service in January. What if they rough him up for being a movie star? Or worse, what if he keeps his hair like that?

Date: 2008-02-13 05:49 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] dangermousie.livejournal.com
LOL. I don't care for his military buzzcut, myself.

What if they rough him up for being a movie star?

What on earth do they do with all these stars in the service? Make them clean floors with toothbrushes extra hard or ask for female stars' phone numbers instead? I mean, what?

this post was utterly delightful.

sincere thanks!

Lee Jun Ki's doll looks much more like an anime figurine than a person.

He (doll) does look anime, doesn't he? Apparently there is also a doll of his King/Clown character.
