filmi_girl and I had an awesome time watching Legend. It's even better the second time around.

But the post is not about that. The post? Is a picspam.

Today's object for a picspam? Korean actor Jo In Sung.



JIS is one of my favorite Asian actors, actually, after seeing him in the drama Something Happened in Bali and movie A Dirty Carnival. Yeah, I find him physically appealing, but it's not really because of that, but because of that incredibly intense vibe he has. He singlehandedly put Bali on my Top 10 kdramas list (he was such a darker version of Domyouji/Logan Echolls combo) and ADC was an amazing, amazing movie (about a small-time gang enforcer) I saw at a festival (he won Korea's equivalent of Best Actor Oscar for it), even if it did make me depressed enough to want to bash my head against the wall. If anyone can inform me about a movie or drama he did where he got to be happy for long stretches, I'd be grateful ;) ETA: Found it, comedy about North Korean gal and South Korean guy falling for each other. Yay.

He has an upcoming movie, which a period epic/gay love story, where he and Jo Jin Mo play an OTP, a King and a bodyguard. *meep*.

OMG. This guy looks amazing. I have only seen him in Madeleine, in which he starred alongside Shin Min-ah. I liked him in that, but his acting did not stand out. It was a fun and light movie (happy ending btw) but didn't leave an impression on me at all. I'm curious about his upcoming gay movie and also A Dirty Carnival :D

okay, that's it .. it's official. South Korea has this super-duper secret human genetics lab somewhere nesteled away in the hills, where they create all those super-cute, tall, good-looking guys. It must be it. I mean which other country (apart from Japan that is) has so many young, talented, AND DAMN HANDSOME TV and movie actors. Not even Hollywood has so many.

As for Yamapi's gif ... OMG, this produces all sorts of naughty, non-publishable thoughts and an urge to write Het and/or slash smut.

JO IN SUNG IS SO HAWT. And his face is so adorable yet manly at the same time. How rare it is that a guy can pull off both looks.

Though I do wonder if he's gay. I got that vibe for some reason in Bali (something about the way he carries himself), even as I found his angst over a girl heart-wrenching.

Lovely. He reminds of Junjin from Shinhwa, they have a similar look in terms of transforming from smoldering hotness into goofy cuteness with total ease.

Anyway, this is random but did you ever see Khoya Khoya Chand (Shiney Ahuja, Soha Ali Khan, 40's/50's film industry)? It's out on DVD, I watched it recently via download and hmm, expect a realistic, hurty romance. The movie's not perfect but I think you'd really like it regardless. Plus it's an interesting view at the film industry.

Re: Bali. Yup, the parts of the story that were set in Bali (beginning and end) were shot in Bali. And they had a few scenes set in Jakarta, too :)

My gaydar is broken by all the JE boys so I am basically a last person to ask. So I dunno, he comes across as much more 'macho' than them :P I bought him as mad for HJW in Bali and I really think it depends on the role (he came across as frighteningly masculine in ADC but I don't think he is a violent animal in RL. I hope not, at least :P)

But honestly, I have no idea and the whole Korean entertainment obsession with keeping any relationships, het or not, secret isn't helping.

Have you seen piano with JIS? It's also angsty, and JIS is not a happy character in the drama. But it was totally unexpected for me because my first taste of him was when he came out in the korean sitcom called NONSTOP. He was absolutely adorable there.
