Jab We Met was probably my favorite Bollywood movie from last year: a clever, funny, delicious romance that is just, in theory, what Bollywood is supposed to do right, but in practice doesn't get it that degree of right, very often.

JWM is about a chance train meeting between motormouth Geet (Kareena Kapoor, yup, the one whose name Saif Ali Khan got tattooed on his arm :)) and the quiet Aditya (Shahid Kapoor, actually Kareena's exbf in RL), depressed because the girl he liked just married another. As they travel together things happen.

And here is my favorite song from the movie, Nagada Nagada. He is staying with Geet's hyper, loud, warm family, and she cons him into actually singing (he is someone who was considering singing professionally).

A friend gave me a copy last week and I have officially watched this movie at least four times!! Good story, great music, interesting characters. I also was given Metro, which I found real and entertaining. But I love my bollywood for the music, the dance, the colors, ... therefore I will pick JWM over Metro every time.

Agreed. Metro was good and enjoyable but JWM was something else entirely.
