I am watching The Legend ep 2, and I can tell, it's going to become one of my favorite things ever.
Dark, and complicated, and heroic fantasy have always been my favorite.
Oh, and Sujini (the heroine) has been brought up from a baby by a bunch of warrior monks? I lurve her.
Actually, I like all the 'good' characters, so far: the tomboyish, tough Sujini. Her older sister, Kiha, who ended up with the evil Tiger clan. Sujini's quasi father (who is what, 20 years older than she?), Cheoro, the one 'embodying' the spirit of the dragon (OMG, his own father put that into his heart, yikes). And I like Dam Deok, who is not having the nicest life.
I love the incredible visuals, too, and the fast pace, and the complicated filming, and the sheer gorgeousness of it all.
Warrior Monks in search of the symbols before the bad guys (Tiger Tribe descendants) get to them:

The King's Sister is about to give birth (not to Dam Deok):

Poor Cheoro, his own father did it to him (out of desperation, but still!)

Kiha, Sujini's older sister. She (or Sujini, it's on purpose vague) 'possessed' by the spirit of the Phoenix (I think they both are). She is also Kajin's reincarnation:

I just love this shot of Kiha with the head elder of the Tiger Tribe:

Baby Sujini, adorable. (She is Sae-Ok's reincarnation. She is also possessed by the Phoenix. Why do I think she is the 'true' one and Kiha the 'black' one. After all, in the past life both Kajin and Sae-Ok had the same power, one after the other):

Sujini with her adoptive father:

Seriously, they poured money into this:

Young Dam Deok:

Older Kiha with someone who might not be a good guy :) But is totally hot:

Sujini sees Kiha but doesn't know who she is:
Also, I was trolling soompi quotes thread, and someone quoted this OTP exchange from later on in The Legend, between Dam Deok and Sujini: she tells him he shouldn't be there, because he is the King and thus must be in the palace. And he tells her that 'wherever you are, is my palace.' Mmmmmmm. Gotta love a guy with anime hair and mad swordfighting skills who knows how to sweet-talk.
Also, seriously. They poured money into this thing by a funnel. I swear.

Date: 2008-01-19 11:40 pm (UTC)Where are you dling from. I am dling MU files and it takes me 40+ minutes per ep which isn't bad, since they are, as you said, huge.

Date: 2009-07-28 01:33 am (UTC)I might finally see the older versions, but I'm totally cool with the kids cause they are good actors also.
And I didn't even think about the vagueness of Sujini and Kiha. I thought it was just Sujini = good, Kiha = bad later on. But now that you bring that up. . .hmmmm. . ..interesting.

This, of course, is subject to change, as someone on my f-list told me they shipped main girl with secondary guy, so I'm wondering if I'll waver, but it's only Episode 4 so we'll see!
But my ridiculous reaction to Dam Dok watching Sujini being a badass and a gambler and a thief kind of maybe cements them as my OTP.
