Hotaru No Hikari: can Fujiki Nahito come live in MY basement?

Meet my next jdrama (once I finish with Snow White kdrama):

Hotaru No Hikari, starring Ayase Haruka (who I swear looks like a Japanese version of Barbie Xsu) and Fujiki Naohito who is my newest drama favorite.

Plot (from wiki): Our heroine, Hotaru works for a famous interior design company. It's a glamorous job but Hotaru's private life is totally the opposite of glamorous. She lives alone, and when she isn't working she's mostly lazing about her rented house in training wear. She's not interested in men. In fact, she isn't interested in anything. "I'd rather lie around than fool around," is her motto.

Her landlord's son, who has just separated from his wife, comes to inspect the rental property, not knowing that someone is living there. He is shocked at the mess, but not as shocked as Hotaru. He turns out to be her boss, Takano (Fujiki Naohito, duh)...

I have no idea how, but somehow they end up living together :)

It sounds fun and funny and awesome. And best of all? Fujiki Naohito doesn't die or go blind or something equally horrendous!!!

I think Fujiki Naohito generally does well in the dying/going blind department...just the one exception(though GalCir concerned me for a bit)

this is my favorite drama of 2007! i didn't like Ayase Haruka before watching this, but she totally rocked. Fujiki Naohito is sooo cute here!

one of the few jdramas I ever watched RAW. When it came out last year it took the longest time to get subed so I downloaded the eps and watched them. Th OTP is cute even though the heroine's other love interest was a cute guy.

Definitely one of the top jdramas of 2007!!

I have literally just finished Hotaru No Hikari and I seriously can't recommend it enough. Ayase Haruka is simply wonderful in it and her acting in this has actually encouraged me to finish Tatta Hitosu no Koi. Also Fujiki Naohito is absolutely perfect in this. aksksl I loved this drama so very much!
