Not sure if there's a drama that a) you haven't already seen b) you haven't already begun and c) I think you would enjoy.
I've seen so little dramas! My attention span is clearly off the type where finishing a drama I don't love is beyond difficult. Sigh.
Hmm, did you ever see any of Corner With Love? It's not fully subbed yet (except on Malaysian DVD I think!) but it's got Barbie Hsu, and comedy and though it's rather standard in twdrama cheese, it's also very ..I want to say, full of heart and the OTP just makes my heart burst with happy. And the bickering, oh christ the bickering.
Male lead is no Vic Zhou but he definitely grows on you and fits the role and yeah, it's a fab drama that I should finish watching myself. Also gets angsty by the end which you may like (but still light enough for my tastes).
That or get on watching Que Sera Sera. It's so hurty and difficult and the male lead is delicious, it's like the dangermousie-type of drama that oddly enough I also love!
I know the entire series is uploaded over at Aznv.TV...
And episodes 1-14 are listed at D-Addicts: http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.php?search=corner+with+love
Not sure why they haven't uploaded the last two episodes yet. It's listed as complete on our subbing status page and also listed under past projects... they may have renamed the files to get back at the people who were harassing them on their blog or something, lol.
I know you've been avoiding it intentionally, but 1 Litre of Tears would still be at the top of my rec list for you (since you've seen the only other dramas I like anywhere near as much as that one).
I wholeheartedly second that rec! 1LoT gets a bad deal b/c of the name (and inherent warning of ANGST in the title), but it's seriously so well done, and there's an OTP to die for, and it will definitely make you SOB (like, uncontrollably), but it's also incredibly inspiring... and if that's not enough, Nishikido Ryo is quite amazing in it. And there's a puppy. Seriously, so good.
If you haven't watched it yet, definitely Que Sera Sera. It has lots of angst, screwed up characters, passionate kissing, and a man moved to tears (and drinking) because of selfishly painful love.
And yet, strangely, the ending's not really all that depressing...
