Despite my best intentions I checked my flist, terrified out of my wits about what kind of ending we will get.
I am still pretty close to utterly unspoiled but the one thing I do know is that they end up together. I don't need to know anything else until I watch. Now I can breathe.

Even though I wasn't emotionally invested in the drama or the couple, I teared up a bit in that last scene.
By the previous episode I was already pretty sure this would have a happy ending for them (because usually dramas follow the pattern of "happy times = upcoming doom" or "terrible sad times = upcoming happy ending").
It was very moving how he kept on waiting for her all those years. And how she went back and forth, completely abandoning her life in the future, and risked getting lost in God-knows-what-year in the past with just the hope of finding him.
The ending did justice to the drama's title... faith. There was tons of blind faith to go around with this ending.
On a completely shallow note: Lee Min Ho looks very very hot with that little beard. He should have kept it throughout the drama. His very young and clean-shaved face kept distracting me from the fact that he was an experienced and badass Great General.
MY ONE GRIPE: Why oh whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy did they just stand there looking at each other?! I know it would be too much to hope for a great final kiss but... how about a hug? Damn you drama gods!
Am I wrong or is the "kiss count" (between Choi Young and Eun Soo) in the entire drama just ONE? One measly awkward kiss (more like lip-smashing) in front of all those people?

I agree, I loved the little beard. But then I am fond of facial hair on men. Too many sageuks brainwashed me.

Date: 2012-10-31 04:28 am (UTC)I don't know whether it was because the drama ended, or because I had given up all hope that the two of them would end up being together and was THANKFULLY proven wrong on all accounts.
I was just about ready to swear off watching dramas as they aired and would wait for the entire drama to finish before picking it up, but with that ending, I'm more than content with it.
LMH was smoking at the end! Oh, my ovaries~
