1. lb_klove has made a wonderful Faith MV here. Check it out!

2. I've watched the first episode of The Paradise and hmmmm. As a British period drama, it's good, as an adaptation of Zola's novel, I feel all the sharp edges and dark corners have been smoothed and lightened out. MMV. It suffered, though, from my watching it in such proximity to the sublime Parade's End.

3. I never did get around to doing a proper post on the last week's eps of Nice Guy, did I? Oops.



I loved the episodes - paradoxically, even with amnesia and hematomas, they felt like the lightest, happiest, most hopeful episodes so far - mainly because the memory loss (EG) and the impermanence (Maru) has, oddly, freed them to be together with no baggage. And oh, how wonderful it is to see that enormous capacity Maru has for caring turn towards a worthy recipient. The episodes reenforce over and over again how little he even thinks of Jae Hee other than as a threat to EG - he doesn't even hate her any more, he just doesn't care. I love that.

4. I have a whole batch of caps for ep 17 of Five Fingers (yes, I am a few eps behind). I continue to enjoy the drama - I see complaints about it but I think it's excellent, mainly because the excellent cast elevates the material.

Nice Guy is definitely the best of the bunch of dramas I'm watching now. It's in a totally different level than anything else. I just don't talk about it as I don't have proper words to explain the feels. *g*

Five Fingers.... I was this close to dropping it after episodes 17-18. God, talk about frustrating! Seriously. Did everyone opposing YR take a stupid pill there?! I almost rolled my eyes out of their sockets, it got that makjang idiotic. The next two epis corrected the trajectory though, so I'm still onboard. For now anyway. :)

Stairway to Heaven? Autumn In My Heart? All In? Winter Sonata?

Nope, never watched them. Not even my late-found love for Park Yongha got me to watch THE Winter Sonata.

But this one, Nice Guy....it's amazing how it not only got me interested in the plot, but also how the characters will end up. I'm so invested in them! Give me my next episode of nicccccccccccccceeeeeeeeee guyyyyyyy!! =P

Remember when you said it pained you to see him reject EG wanting to comfort him in episode 9, when they were both hurt? Well, I do :) and I think if this were to happen again, he won't reject that at all and accept what she offers in the same way she accepts all of his love and devotion and care. No more pretending to be stronger than they are, no more hiding their wounds and sadness behind walls, they're not afraid to lean on each other, and they're so, so, so good together, it's like watching the realization of what Eun-Gi wanted for the both of them when she came to him barefoot.

I still lurve Five Fingers. I am just so happy to see Jo Ji Hoon turning all reven-gy on my screen.

Nice Guy is good but I am a chicken. It so not going to end well for one or more protagonists. I am leaving it for now for you stronger ones. I have developed a crush on the actress that plays the evil girl , so I am re-watching Slingshot instead.

I don't think I can ever watch Slingshot again. I loved Shin so much (the biggest crush on a drama character I've ever had) and.... well, we all know what happened to PYH. The whole thing makes my heart ache, still.

Oh, what happened to PYH?? I am going to be sad now. ;( I loved Shin, but I also was heavily invested in the Kyung Ah and Do Woo's story 9I like my evil clever men, lol). I was always lukewarm to Eun Soo's charcter, so I never was sad that she died.

I really like the turn the relationship in Nice Guy has taken, even if that pesky hematoma is still lurking in the background.


It wasn't hard to get why Maru pushed her away the first time around when he knew he had feelings for her - he didn't feel he deserved her love, or even to feel love himself, and complete dissociation/trying as hard as he could to throw that relationship down the toilet was the best way he could think of to protect her (one more respect in which this situation is wayyyy too similar to my #1 OTP of all time) but now that they're just together, no baggage attached? I won't lie, I root for them - even though I really like Cute Lawyer Joon-ha, who looks a lot better now that his new hair has settled a bit,
