Finished Arang and the Magistrate which satisfied me all the way through to the end, but I don't have much to say about it.

In other news, Yoo Seung Ho has been case as the second male lead in Yoochun/Yoon Eun Hye's romantic melodrama I Miss You - I am more and more excited for this drama with every announcement.

Ironically, YSH is ten years younger than YEH, the same difference that is appalling me in Joo Won's new drama - but the thing is, YEH looks gorgeous and vibrant and young and I can see anyone from 15 to 50 falling for her. While Choi Kang Hee - the less said, the better. I'd think her wrong for 40+ Lee Byung Hun!!! That's an actress that should be playing an ahjumma with those looks and that tired vibe and the mugging thing she has going.

Eeeee, so excite. I adore the childhood actors (the only reason I watched Moon that Embraces the Sun tbh) and of course Yoo Seungho's one of my favorites as well. Not to mention its a romantic melodrama! I hope the genre's making a comeback in the kdrama world, even if I can only recall maybe three or four in the last year or so (Nice Guy, Love Rain, etc). I really miss the atmospheric epic fated love stories korean dramas used to be known for (Spring Waltz, Stairway to Heaven, etc, etc)-- even with the inherent makjang/cheese the genre is admittedly one of my favorite guilty pleasures + there have been precious few of them recently due to the trend towards gimmicky romcoms and procedurals.

Yes, I am so glad the genre is making a comeback.

LOL, you're right. But it's unfair to compare YEH and CKH together. YEH is 28, CKH 35. Of course, YEH is going to look like she does when she's in the prime of her youth, CKH is older and not ageing so well. I still hope she can show some magic with Joo Won *cross my fingers* But as an aside, whom would you have casted opposite Joo Won?

The ending to Arang took me a few days to get over. Compared to what I was expecting, it ended much better. But compared to what I was hoping for... it felt too much like Rooftop Prince to me. And how weird to be kids and remember stuff?? Oh well. I still adored the drama.

Can't wait for I Miss You. It could be a total train-wreck (like Lie To Me) but with YEH, I'm all aboard regardless!

I hope it won't be like Lie to Me *shudder*

Yes. They both got reincarnated, with memories. And were together.

Woah woah Yoo Seung Ho is EIGHTEEN? I totally thought he was older lol. Not that he doesnt look young but the first drama I saw him in was Arang. and I guess he seemed older than that lol. Its too bad he's the secondary guy tho, you all know how I love my noona romances hahaha XD (well when they are actual noona romances as opposed to an older lady playing a much younger woman -_-)

Yoochun is a couple of years younger than YEH. Though I think they are playing the same age.

YSH is such a total babyface but the thing about the age gap is that YEH was almost equally babyfaced at his age so the idea of some noona-romancing is not so bad, lol. And two years this way or that makes zero difference when it comes to her and Yoochun - we wouldn't be commenting on the age gap if he were the one who was two years older, would we? YSH will need a little aging up to play 25 but I'm glad the other two are playing characters closer to their own age.

Yeah, I don't think she and Yoochun really have a gap...
