Grah, Kindle, you are failing me!

dangermousieI had an odd drem that I and Mr. Mousie were Mrs and Mr British officer at some point in 19th century so I woke up with a craving for a book set in Victorian times, preferably involving some officers but also woman-centric.
KINDLE GAVE ME NADA!
By that I don't mean I demand it psychically guess what I want. I know what I want - I put in Emma Drmmond/Elizabeth Darrell - nothing on kindle. I used a pretty awesome list compiled by an amazonian - nada on kindle. Freaking Far Pavillions are not on Kindle! At that point I gave up because if FP wasn't going to be on kindle, nothing was. Sriously, ow can it not be on kindle, being still in print, a hue bestseller (with a bad tv mini made out of it :P) etc.
I own a paper copy somewhere but our house is drowning in books so I can't find it (At least I found Shadows on the Moon, another MM Kaye book). That thing is such a doorstopper, it should stick out - I remember reading it when I had an internship which had an hour commute each way and it still took me a while to finish it. Bah! I want my Ash/Anjali fix. It would make a cool movie with Bolly actors, btw...*sigh*
