Ringer - through 1.6
Nov. 8th, 2011 11:28 pmI confess I am totally loving Ringer. I skip every scene involving Agent Boring or Juliet (I have no patience with her emo teen ways and entitlement. Also, she looks a decade too old to be Ioan Gruffudd's daughter unless he had her at 12) but the rest is pure delight.

The fact that I ship Bridget/Andrew is no surprise but I enjoy the show in general - it knows it's soapy, silly goodness and embraces it, becoming gloriously entertaining in the process. I love Bridget and really hope she makes it work - whatever 'it' is, i.e. what makes her happy (I hope it's Andrew and his posh accent and his millions, but if she wants Malcolm or be on her own or whatever, I am fine with that).
But I am even more fascinated by Siobhan, who's smart, ruthless and borderline sociopath (faking forgiveness in order to put a hit on your sister - that's beyond cold). I think Siobhan's curse is that she is never happy - if you think about it, marriage with Andrew should have made her 100% fulfilled - he seems a decent sort who would treat her like a queen if she only gave him a chance (look how quickly Bridget has him at her beck and call and all she does is treat him decently) and marriage to him gives her money, prestige, and access to best stuff in New York and elsewhere. Siobhan is not the type to need to love so I don't think her lack of feelings for him is a reason of why she is unhappy. I think the issue is that she just can't be happy - maybe it's a control thing, maybe it's a trauma thing, maybe a sociopath thing. But I can't wait to see more of her. Plus, her Paris eyecandy is super-hot.
Henry is SO BORING. He needs to get off my screen. Gemma was kind of annoying too (wtf with her 'sleep with my husband' scenario?) so at least one annoyance less, I suppose.
Also, Logan Echolls! As an English teacher. Can one LOL and swoon at the same time?
