dangermousieI was wondering whether the episode count would be cut down to 17 because last week there was only one ep, but apparently not! It's still set for a full 18 eps - they are going to show 17 and 18 back to back!! Mmmmm, yay! I feel sorry for the overworked cast and crew but am selfishly glad I get more of my darling show. (It joins a small and exclusive list of kdramas I loved this year - Secret Garden, Gloria, City Hunter, New Tales of the Gisaeng, Can You Hear My Heart, The Princess' Man).
In other news, netizens prove that they are still their crazy selves because they have been apparently lodging complaints about ep 13 saying that the bed scene should have been rated 19+. LOL WHUT??? Regardless of angsty twistedness that may or may not have led to it, the scene itself was ridiculously tame!!! They were fully clothed, there was no fevered grabbing by either party or even some French kissing or similar. It faded to black before we saw even an inch of skin. About the only even conceivably risqué thing about it was that he was lying on top of her during the kiss. Honestly, I've seen hotter things in other kdramas (I won't even get into twdramas here). Oh, netizens! Just because they have a screwed-up relationship doesn't make it explicit - those are two separate things. If you use screwed-up as basis for rating, I would say most kdramas would get that rating, as kdramas thrive on dysfunction, horrible childhoods and angst.
You know, it just occurred to me that MWtS is pretty much a romance novel masquerading as a romcom. No wonder I like it! Btw, my preferred ending would be KW/MW and CR/IA, all in South Korea, all making Hallyu commando babies. (I must be the sole shipper for Ryu and In A left :p).
