That line from song in closing credits of ep 4 made me gleeful so there we go.
To nobody's surprise, I am sure, I adored ep 4 to bits!

This episode really brings to bear that even though he can manipulate him, Undaddy cannot really control Yoon Sung, which is a very good thing as Undaddy is a full-blown psycho, with little compunction in offing families and innocent bystanders to get to his target. YS, otoh, has a remarkably sane view that he does not want to kill anyone as part of revenge because once this is over, he wants to live a normal life and if he starts killing, the cycle of vengeance will just go on forever as families of the targets will come after him etcetcetc. I don't know where he learned sanity, it clearly wasn't from Undaddy. Of course, they are clearly setting up a conflict between YS and Undaddy as Undaddy views YS as disposable - look how quickly he found a willing flunkie when YS won't jump. And look how he had no problem ramming YS' car when he got in the way - for YS that scene was much more about testing whether Undaddy cares for him at all, than about seeing his way of justice/saving prisoner dude. Stop testing your ideals and relationships with your body, YS! What are you, main character in Vigilantes in Masks?

If YS continues to go against Undaddy, I won't give much for Undaddy letting him be.
When you add in the fact that YS is bound to learn Undaddy stole him from his mother - eeeek. I adore YS, but he's not the sanest fish in the pond...(I do love that for once, hero has mother issues, not father issues).

You know how I like Secondary Girl in Lie to Me, think it's unreasonable for people to hate her etc etc. Well, clearly my sanity only extends this far because the second we saw her have the most innocuous interaction with YS, I was getting growly. "Back off, b****, YS is Nana's!!" I need help. She can hook up with

This was one of my favorite scenes in the ep, and not just because I decided to alterna-ship YS with Sexy Prosecutor (hey, Nana can get in the middle of that sandwich anytime, I am sure!) There are just so many things going on there - YS' trying to process meeting his mother, the whole conversation Sexy Prosecutor has about catching City Hunter with YS overhearing, Nana appearing, oblivious to the undercurrent, with her crush on Sexy Prosecutor for catching bad guys (ahhh, the Batman/Superman dilemma :P), and making YS jealous. The fact that whenever he feels low he always wants her there, with an almost childlike fixation...Just everything. And then of course her scolding him and saying he must be the way he is because of being spoiled rotten by his parents and asking if he talks to his mother as rudely as he does to her, and him snapping that he has no mother, so he has no idea how to talk (he really can't control emotionally opening up around her, can he?) and the lovely, silently comforting scene that follows - she isn't one of those angelic heroines from 1990s kdramas, but she is so sane and kind, and very much what he craves. I love, how during the scene on the overpass, he keeps sneaking looks at her all the time, hastily averting his eyes every time she looks back. Those two are just beyond amazing.
Oh, and little thing that got me for some reason - the way he is nervously picking his nails. He's so controlled a lot of the time, this small unconscious gesture really got me for some reason.

Of course, this all gets spectacularly screwed up - her house is getting foreclosed and he wants to cheer her up (or just to see her because she's in distress and he can't leave her alone) but of course he has no idea how to express himself and it all snowballs and she basically tells him he's a bastard and she never wants to interact with him again and just - I guess telling her "I was brought up by a psycho in the jungle and have no idea how to interact emotionally" might fix things, but also blow his cover. Ohhhh, the insane angsty chemistry btw!!!! My God. If they ever actually make out, I just might combust.

And then this scene is right after, where he follows her, just watching. Oh, who could have thought it would be the action/revenge drama with horrible trailers that would give me one of my favorite love stories of the year?

So yeah, the freeze will take a while to thaw...

So yes, I am beyond obsessed with this drama. It doesn't hurt that whoever shoots this, knows how to shoot LMH to look utterly and incredibly gorgeous.

This was hilarious. both of them bought her a wallet (and of course YS' got rejected, albeit unknowingly because Sexy Prosecutor got there first).

That's OK, YS, saving her life is a better present anyway (if anything proves what a psycho Undaddy is, this scene does - he can't get to his target because of the dark, so why not mow down an innocent bodyguard? WTF!!! Freak!)

Preview promises me this, which please please please should mean they made up. I can't take it otherwise.

Kinda OT: I really wish people would just let go of the whole "it's inferior to the manga/too different/blahblahblah". I have never read the manga and never will because most manga style prior to 2000 does not work for me and the story doesn't sound like my thing. So I just don't care about it. And honestly, by now everyone knows the only thing is has in common with the manga is just the name. Time to let go! If the drama doesn't work for you, just don't watch it. (See me and Best Love or Gumiho Girlfriend). Thankfully, fandom seems to be settling down about this, for a while this was all I could find.
