I am kind of depressed today, don't know why.

But in cheering news, I am severely amused by this:

Herbology sounds fascinating, all of a sudden..

crumpeteer posted it, and I've seen it do the LJ rounds. That is Matthew Lewis who plays Neville Longbottom in the HP movies.

Oh My.

I am severely amused that not only has Neville become a total resistance leader badass in DH, but that he has apparently also turned into a total hottie.

Be kind to the meek and less fortunate, for one day they shall turn into smokin' rebels. Or something.

This makes him one of the very few appealing-lokking HP cast members. Oh, you poor Harry Potter casting people. Seriously, they cast unattractive people for those canonically hot (hello, young Sirius? Yikes) and hotties for those of less remarkable appearance.

Sirius (young Sirius, anyway) needed to be drop dead gorgeous. Just sayin'. ;D

Then again, they so irreversibly messed up OOTP that the rest of it hardly matters anymore. In the past, I've forgiven the filmmakers their little mistakes because they didn't ruin the entire plot. But I have no forgiveness now for the OOTP people. Oy. *headdesk*

Matthew, however, is a cutie. And I can't wait to see him turn into the Neville we see in DH.

You know, I think I remember seeing someone way back when--can't recall who any more--predicting that Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton would grow up not so hot, but Rupert Grint and Matthew Lewis would be totally smokin'. I'm amused to say that that anonymous netizen almost completely called it. (I think Felton isn't bad, and Grint is not so great, but neither of them quite fulfilled normal predictions. :P)

Danny R was SO CUTE at 10 or 12 or whatever. I could barely take my eyes off him (how's THAT for dirty old lady?) but now ... not so much, but I could go for a bit of that Rupert Grint or even Matthew Lewsi. Both of them have those classic English looks (like my husband. Oooh, I think I'm seeing the connection here ...)
