I crave intense romance...

Can someone recommend me a good intense romantic jdrama?

I don't mean 'they are cute and fluffy together' or 'there is romance but it's more about family/societal issues/business environment' drama that a lot of jdramas are.

I mean something swoony.

For clarification, the ones I think fit the out and out romance genre are Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake, Forbidden Love, Tatta Hitotsu No Koi.

Something like that?

Love Generation is full out and out romance. It's solely focused on the romance; as for intensity, I found it quite good and engaging.

Swoony - that's hard. I don't know if you know it already, but how about "Virgin Road"? All the other good ones I would have listed appear in your tag list, so I guess you've watched them already. I guess pure romance is rare in jdorama.

(i usually watch jdramas to get away from the non-stop romantic drama and have a little more plot beyond the romance, so I can't help much)

ah. I've seen exactly 1 but was told he usually plays romantic roles.

I do have 2 in my backlog that sound like they're mostly romance, but haven't watched them yet so I can't really comment on how romantic/good they are: Slow Dance and Tokyo Wankei.

I did restart HYD2 today, though...Domyoji calling in the experts for Lil Bro's crush had me in stitches the entire time. Those 2 covered everything they could possibly think of...

oh...I usually go for crack jdramas(i.e Hana Kimi, Nodame Cantabile..) but umm Tada Kimi wo Aishiteru was a really really good, (VERY SAD) and very intense movie...and in has the guy from Nodame Cantabile...would recommend that:P:P

it's about a misfit girl and guy who distance themselves from people but sort of find solace in each other. Then he starts to make friends with the popular(although she IS nice and sweet...)girl and she feels neglected and well...I don't want to give ALL the story away but it is AMAZING

there is also Love Generation which was made in 2000 with the older guy(although he was like 28 then) from Proposal Daisakusen...I heard that was quite good:P

Although I haven't seen it yet, I heard 'Byakuyakou' is supposed to be a VERY angsty, romantic drama. It focuses on the OTP's destructive relationship that began when they were children.... I suspect this would be quite a depressing drama, but INTENSE...
