I voted DragonZakura cuz it's all I've seen...the Love Generation because calixa gave me a play by play and it sounded good...and is maybe more your thing...

And Sapuri is one of the ultimate pick-me-ups for dramas.

And the last question was evil and needed an "up to three" option...

ORANGE DAYS. That's totally my vote. *beams* That is one of my FAVORITE doramas (plus there's SIGN LANGUAGE. *squeak* So cool.) Although, Dragonzakura is really good (although somewhat of a bias with my Yamapi love), but the teaching styles were really different than people are used to.

I voted for Sapuri... Mainly because it's the only one I've seen in that list. (XP I still haven't seen Prodai myself.)

...And that last question was EVIL. I... I... I... I wish I could've at least chosen TWO. @.@

But that would be cheating :P

I voted Orange Days as well. It was the 3rd jdrama I watched. So good. Hmm, I only voted Sapuri because I haven't seen the other two and who am I to tell you to suck it up when I haven't finished beautiful life for the exact same reasons! I voted Kimu, but um my hand skipped! I totally meant to vote for Oguri!

Orange Days because it was excellent & I'd love to hear your take on it.
Proposal because there were times I struggled to finish Sapuri & I haven't see the others (plus I hate sad endings).
And I was torn between Kimura Takuya & Yamapi but went for Kimura Takuya because he's all growed up & Yamapi's hot but too young at times.

Definitely true.

I'm sure all dramas in the first question are good, I'm considering Orange Days myself (but you know, being active with jdramas not my strongest suit) - mainly because it has two actors from my personal favourite jdrama, Nodame Cantabile, which I think is THE jdrama you should watch. I knoooow classical music doesn't sound so hot but it's one of those dramas that finds a balance and tells a love story through the whole, y'know, "actual" plot and it has awesome leads and fantastic comedy and even some wonderfully touching angst and I've to meet a person who hasn't LOVED it.

Also, the male lead Tamaki Hiroshi is so hot your face will melt off.

Consider it? http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Nodame_Cantabile & my picspam of it

OMG! I looked at your post and am dead. Especially after this one:

I will dl this later in the week, for sure. Your loving a jdrama is even more rare than my loving one so...this has to be awesome!

It is annoyingly prude-ish when it comes to OTP stuff (in typical jdrama style, coming from the twdrama/kdrama perspective) - I had to fic the OTP making out because it just refused to happen in the drama, and that still is from the last episode.. But yeah, the OTP stuff is occasionally amazingly subtle and touching and even though the drama's style is over-the-top and manga-ish it's just so well-made, so many aspects of it end up being to-die-for.

hmmmm why isn't there an "all of the above" option for the final question? because, how can one choose?

I have orange days and nodame on deck for next-to-watch, so I would recommend those, and you might as well finish up Sapuri.

Can we be friends?

Nodame is quite good (though I am not as in love with it as everyone else seems to be).

Friended you back :)

I voted Kareinaru Ichizoku because it is a fantastic dorama which has all Angst, happy moments, and overall great acting! (it doesn't hurt that Takuya-kun is in there, but even if Teppei had been played by someone else, the series would be stilll awesome)

I'm not sure, you'll like Sapuri (esp. the latter eps) I started to find the whole series annoying and only stuck with it because of Eita. SO I voted for Beautiful life. Yeah it has a sad ending, but it also is uplifting and for the "Shuji sending his love off" scene alone is worth the whole heart-ache. The scene is long, it is tearjerking and it was filmed in one go.

My answer to no. 3 doesn't need any explanation >:D

I loved BL but I sort of ODed on angst, what with The Outsiders, and Jumong, and ROCH. So I think I might wait a bit to continue...

I'd be tempted to go with "Karei Ichizoku" if it weren't about steel mills. "Orange Days" is wonderful (same writer as TattaKoi and Beautiful Life, FYI), "Dragon Zakura" was okay (Yamapi's orange hair scared the crap out of me for about 2 episodes, the love interest is the girl from ProDai and it's very very minor). Your unfinished jdrama list looks a lot like mine, except I did power through all of ProDai in one giant marathon when I got home from Tokyo.

And your last question is sort of evil and wrong because my answer varies depending on the time of day. XD

i completely voted for orange days because it has to be one of my favourite jdramas of all time. it's joint first with nwp, 1 litre of tears and kurosagi (yes i am much too greedy), not least because it has the what-am-i-going-to-do-with-my-life/friendship angst of nwp, the understanding and kinship emphasis of 1 litre, and well, to some extent the ust of kurosagi (i shall not spoil the ending for you). LOL. and it has an entirely likeable cast. :)

and i voted sapuri, cos i need to finish it too. XP

and of course i voted kame, but it was difficult with yamapi there!

oh btw, you might like jotei, the new one with matsuda shota. it's very much jdrama being kdrama, with mobsters and much angst. i didn't think it was exceptionally well-paced though (plus there was too many dramatic strings), which meant i started laughing out loud at some super angsty parts, but then again that's just me being a cynical teenager. :)

...that was long.

For the first one I voted for Strawberry since that's the only one of the list I've seen. :P Though I really enjoyed it! I'm planning to watch the others but I'm already watching pretty much all the new dramas out now. :/ RE: Kareinaru Ichizoku the topic and ending really makes me dread watching it. You should finish ProDai. I want to know what you think of the ending. :)Finally at the last question which is PURE EVIL, I needed at least 7! ^^

I'm glad. :) I may have to change my vote for Orange Days. I ended up marathoning it the pass couple of days. It's really enjoyable drama. The lead male (Tsumabuki Satoshi) is really adorable. I liked him a lot in jmovie Nada Sou Sou(has Masami from ProDai) too.

I voted for Dragon Zakura since I really liked it, but it might not be to your taste, since there's very little romance or out and out angst in it :). You really should finish ProDai!!!

The last question is evil and I had to think a bit on the last question, but defaulted to my current biggest crush: Takki.
