Jul. 17th, 2007 09:36 amAfter I posted a while freaking essay on Doctor Who yesterday, you thought I was done? No such luck.
Watched the 'Children in Need' special, which was totally fun. Rose's initial disbelief at this still being the Doctor, and her wanting him to change back into 'her' Doctor was totally spot on.
Love.
Btw, is it just me, or does the central console of the TARDIS look a bit like the central chamber of Moya?
I also watched the deleted scenes, which I liked, all of them, but my favorite (I did warn you, shippy glasses) is the one where Ten and Rose get back to her Mom's (I think it's from the final two-parter) and they are walking holding hands. It's so normal and natural and open. Not because they are in danger, or just escaped, or running. Nah. It's just how they walk. EEEE.
Also, was reading the booklet that came with m DVd and it has a little intro write-up which made me happy because the EP wrote "From first holding the Doctor's hand to a farewell on a beach, Rose is the Doctor's reason to fight, to endure, to ensure there's light in the darkness. Together, they can achieve anything."
Told you, am a rabid shipper. To be honest, I don't think I ever loved anything without shipping someone in it.
And ohhhh, David Tennant has a Scottish accent in RL. Sounds yummy.

Date: 2007-07-17 03:51 pm (UTC)Lol, the first time i saw it, i shouted 'they've morphed Moya into the Tardis!' to which the BOYFRIEND replied 'you what!?'. so, obviously not a Farscape fan! i remember i used to rush home from uni to catch this on bbc2, only to have my friends think that i was sadness personified! boo! :(
Sooo true in my case as well... And the levels of angst and shippiness in Dr Who is sooo dorama in style! i swear that the producers/writers must have been watching some doramas!!!
I'm usually not good with scottish accents, requiring subtitling to come on :) (lol, when we holidayed there a few years ago, i was dumbfounded and the BOYFRIEND told people that i had just come from the far east and didn't understand english!)...but seriously David Tennant + scottish accent = love!

Husband and I both love Farscape so maybe I should make this comment to him :)

Oh so very dorama. I mean, that last scene between them on the beach? Soooo kdrama. Or her crying at the wall? Can't you just see Lee Da Hae or someone do it? Mmmmmm.

I am pretty decent with accents but when I was in Scotland 6 or so years back, I had no problem with all accents except Glaswegian. My taxi driver first day was from there and I was lucky if I got one word in ten.
