I just finished season 2 of Doctor Who.

Which means 'Doomsday.'

Yeah.

I am kinda trying not to cry and failing.

And OMG.

OMG.

Seriously.

That last scene with them? Or the scene with the wall after the climax? OMG.

How can anything be so adrenaline-full and so shippy and so awesome and so tear my heart out into little bits?

Wasn't the ending so kdrama?

OMG.

Off to bawl.

I cried hard during that episode! In front of my dad, who made fun of me. But it was so sad!

Yeah, I had to bite my lips and everything because I was watching it with Mr. Mousie but it was so incredibly heartbreaking!

When she is irreersibly transported to the other world and she is pounding the wall and weeping 'let me back le me back' and then you see him go to that same world (in his dimension) and just lean into it and put his ear to it, and the look on his face is just so...broken and gone.

I've watched "Doomsday" a total of 4 times since the first airing and I have bawled like a baby every. single. time. Without fail, that ending gets to me. I don't think there'll ever be a time where it DOESN'T get that reaction, to be honest. :(

She was sooo awesome. Main reason I liked the show at the start, actually, as I never watched Dr Who before Nine.

Oh me too! Me too! I never saw the show before the revival (and now am making an effort to do so) but it was Rose's character that drew me in. I know companions come and go but there is something to be said about first companions and I suppose when it comes to female characters I have a type I always... not exactly identify but whose point-of-view I immediately latch on and Rose was precisely that.

I love her whole relationship with the Doctor, I love that she started out a shopgirl and will probably end up running Torchwood in alt!Earth. I love that she cares and she jumps at every opportunity and that she makes clear, when faced with death, that it was her choice to be there and twice rejected the Doctor's desire to keep her safe. I love that she's flawed and so human and that she has such a complicated relationship with Mickey that'll end up (in my mind) as a very strong friendship.

I love that she can laugh at Daleks and absorbed the Time Vortex and became the Bad Wolf (whose story I think is not yet done, I think the Bad Wolf is still there, somewhere) I also love the mother-daughter relationship between Rose and Jackie.

I had a year to come to terms with Rose's departure but I still miss her dearly.

Oh Gawd...I remember this so much! I remember saying on one of your posts that even the BOYFRIEND shed a few tears and went all quiet...yep...that was it!

I don't think I could watch it though, because just watching dr/rose vids on youtube made me cry again.
