... Tatta Hitotsu no Koi, yes?
Also, I started watching Coffee Prince, and I must say, it is SO CUTE! It's been too long since I watched a kdrama...

*If kdramas did not insert this vital scene every 20 minutes they would only be half the length, which would be a scheduling problem.

Date: 2007-07-12 04:42 pm (UTC)Favorite drama occupation (for hero or heroine)
What about kdrama must, hotel owner/restaurant owner/big company owner (or playboy heir to one). Who can naturally kick ass AND play the piano (usually not at the same time). This is for the hero, of course, the heroine is poor and will draw up love contract to date this hero for vague reasons.
This is my favourite stereotype but I voted Random White Collar, which I guess fits the stereotype but still, white collar worker is different from Stinking Rich Owner/Boss.
Angsty: I am in love with my half-brother who is dying of cancer but luckily I have amnesia so I will forget it all.
Such a happy ending. :(
I want love to be important to the story but not the only main thing there. Love is important but so is politics/war/trade/mystery/raising cows. When conducted by attractive specimens, that is.
*takes cracky poll too seriously*
I think my favourite thing is for a drama to be about love but the love of the couple to be like, just a frame of some sort of personal growth for the characters. Like in my favourite jdrama, Nodame Cantabile, the characters' love stories, their personal growth/betterment and the development of their musical skills are all interwined into this awesome mix that's very touching. It's not just about music OR love or about becoming who you want to be, it's all of that.
So even though I picked "love love love all the time!" option, it doesn't mean the drama shouldn't have other aspects.
Except, I did once tell a jdrama loving friend of mine (who's still not watched a single proper kdrama, shame on her!), after watching one episode of some fluffy but not entirely romantic jdrama, "It's like ..it has real plot. I don't think I can get into this." XD
This might be the reason I like Taiwanese dramas best. Cheesy, simplistic but with so much heart & occasionally impressively well-written and acted and even clever.

That's how I feel.

Date: 2007-07-12 05:24 pm (UTC)I had to think about Intense and sword wielding vs super intense...i picked super intense in the end cos i figured that it would cover all aspects of intenseness...including the sword! :)
guh...i only need to think of a way to convince the BOYFRIEND to call me Gu-Gu, grow his hair with the pre-requisite silver streaks, hack off one of his arms, walk aroung hoiking a massive sword with a huge condor for a friend, and develop super-duper martial arts abilities...eee!!! what are the chances of me succeeding then!? :)

Date: 2007-07-12 11:48 pm (UTC)I want my heroines cheerful, spunky AND intelligent!
I also love my angsty romance heavy dramas but went with the crack comedy this time around (as I seem to be mainly watching this genre lately)
