I just saw Doctor Who's 'Christmas Invasion' (the first one with David Tennant). Yeah, I am way behind.

I loved S1 but now I am even more in love.

Meta coming...

ACK!

Is there no escaping the Doctor Who fans on my flist?

There are more of you than there are of Harry Potter fans...

*not that this is a bad thing*

*will no doubt be converted in time*

Well.... Doctor Who does have forty+ years of canon behind it. It'll take JKR another forty years or so to match it.

The latest "Convert Megan to Doctor Who" tactic has been to use Paul McGann as a weapon(curse my weakness for the men in Horatio Hornblower)

I'm not opposed to it, but there's soooooooooooooo much of it out there, and it's not exactly cheap...

a possibility, but part of ther reason i have a huge DVD(and book) collection is that i despise having my entertainment scheduled or with a due date(i know metflix doesn't exactly have a due date, but it'll be in my head that the longer i keep it, the longer someone else goes without)

I do so love David Tennant. He was a great transition from Eccleston.

That quote made me die. He is so edgily yet funnily off-kilter.

Hee! 'Twas the same for me. *nostalgia*

Eagerly awaiting the meta! :D

(Seriously, I've been thinking for a while that you would LOVE Tennant's Ten and his first season).

I love David Tennant...he's one of my secret pleasures in life...plus he reminds me of a lecturer that i had a mild crush on in my studenty days!

S2 was great, with angsty ending that could give any dorama a run for their money! S3 also good...and probs a little more grown up!

S4 - er the jury is out on this one considering that they haven't filmed it yet! :)

I feel compelled to point out that my ears are still ringing from a couple people's angst meltdowns over the ending(and I admit that, as they completely spoiled me in the process, season 2 squees are the main source of my doctor who interest)

AHH you're so lucky, you have two seasons of Doctor Who and a season of Torchwood to watch before season 4 starts!

I know, I am excited. Btw, is Torchwood any good?

It's ok. BBC's attempt to made an "adult edgy Doctor Who" is more miss than hit, I think, but occasionally it's actually good. And it's sometimes entertaining. I watch it mostly to have complete knowledge of the Doctor Who canon and occasionally for entertainment.
All the sex and violence in it gets kind of excessive at times.

Hmmm. I'll check it out but I'll keep it away from purist Mr. Mousie

erm, i gave Torchwood a try but i didn't find it as good...

Just not as dark and Capt Jack is a bit too camp to be really angsty. whereas with dr who, there are always undercurrents there, if you know what i mean!

I just finished up season 3. I need to backtrack and finish season one and two, but I love DT! He's so adorably wierd!
