Movie update

dangermousieMr Mousie and I watched 3 movies recently but I forgot to post about that.
Invictus - we gave up halfway through. It was so very boring. Blah blah racism is bad, Mandela is cool, rugby as symbol of unity blah blah. I agree with the movie's politics but the preachiness was still boring.
Sherlock Holmes - it may be a purist's nightmare but it got the spirt right and was tremendous fun. Bonus points for finally having an adaptation not making Watson a moron. He was not. He was an intelligent man not as good at detective work as a professional detective who was the best around. Not the same thing.
The Fantastic Mr. Fox - I loved it to bits. Mr. Mousie and I are both Wes Anderson fans and it was a typical WA movie only in toon form. BEST THING EVER.
