Pick the Stars - I am in love!
Feb. 1st, 2010 10:47 pmUmmm, you know how I said I don't have a ship for Pick the Stars.
Well, I lied.
I have watched ep 9 and OMGOMGOMGOMG I want Pal Kang and Kang Ha to make out now. SQUEE PLS.
Pal Kang continues to be her ridiculously awesome, pragmatic, upbeat self. You'd have to be insane not to love her. Kang Ha = LOVE. Which is hilarious, considering how I loathed him at the start. But now that he's allowed himself to express human emotions, his gruffness totally hides the ultimate softy and combined with his totally un-kdrama-hero-like tendency to speak exactly what he thinks and not tolerate any B.S. or need to make nicey-nice? EEE.
Most importantly, he could totally cope with Pal Kang's brood. Mr. OCD was totally keeping his cool driving a small car with Pal Kang and her 5 siblings, including the screaming baby. And he ran to the police station to fetch Parang (who thought he was abandoned). And after all this 'inconvenience' and the crammed loud car, he bought them a fancy meal and remembered to get the baby's milk and didn't even seem to care when all the food got spilled on his courtesy of siblings. He's totally ready to be a surrogate Dad.
Secondary Girl should die in a fire. Honestly, I do not get it. Kang Ha has never expressed any interest. In fact, being himself, he repeatedly told you he is not interested and to leave him alone. He basically did everything short of tattooing it on his forehead. So WTF. Secondary Guy is irritating me too - WTF is he doing telling his brother to marry Secondary Hag because she's all emo and loves him. Even if it wasn't the blunt Kang Ha, what kind of marriage would that be? Are you on drugs, Secondary Guy?
I love the matter-of-fact way Kang Ha stands up for Pal Kang's place in his household. Because he says everything I am thinking (and usually I think all these things but kdrama heroes/heroines are too well-mannered to say). It's none of Secondary Girl's business what goes on in his house. It's also none of her business if he was Mr. OCD but now doesn't care if his shirts get ruined or his house is noisy. I love that he doesn't give her any explanation just says it doesn't bother him now. Because it's none of your business, Hag!
Also, I love that Pal Kang is still completely uninterested in him 'this way' but she likes him well enough now (she sees all his flaws and it would take a ridiculous amount of effort for her to see him as a romantic prospect, but she finds him nice because he's helped her out). And OMG he's flashbacking about her doing various things, from slapping him to helping him during a cold. And he's totally falling ahahahahahahaha.
My favorite scene was poor Parang in the police station, his terror at his belief he was abandoned :( I love that it's the most screw-up of all the kids that perfectionist Kang Ha is attached to and Parang totally idolizes him. They are such an odd couple.
I am so in love with this drama. Was it even coherent?
