I am probably an evil heartless person who is going to hell but when we got to On Dal's horrible horrible debilitating GOLF TRAUMA, I laughed and laughed like the soulless hyena that I am.
I repeat.
GOLF TRAUMA.
Somewhere in-between laughing I kinda fell for On Dal and now I kinda want to squish him and then smoosh him and Pyun Kang together and I get terribly upset when things don't go his way and I got invested in this silliness.
Some time ago, in exotically lit America, On Dal was celebrating winning a tournament and his bright future in professional golf when GOLF THUGS showed up, looking like something out of Grease.
They called On Dal a Jap and told him his girlfriend is a slut, the way people do when they start conversations in bars in America.
Brave On Dal got into a fight and being a kdrama hero kicked their butts.
But as he leaned down to pick up the picture of his girlfriend, an evil GOLF THUG, not playing fair, first stepped on his foot:
And then bashed him with a golf club, uttering the immortal line "You know what I really hate? It's when you dudes come over here and play in our golf tournaments." Really? Really, GOLF THUG? That is a really esoteric thing to hate. Maybe you should see a doctor and get a more common grievance, like high taxes on cigarettes or lack of open liquor stores on Sundays?
WATCH ON DAL RELIEVE THE TRAUMA. WATCH IT.
The doctor warns On Dal with his serious face on but On Dal simply must play. OHNOEZ, will On Dal die from golf trauma as Pyung Kang plays him to rest on a giant white piano on the beach? I wouldn't worry, On Dal! Seeing that kdrama doctors seem to believe a car accident causes eye cancer, you should probably disregard whatever advice they want to give, anyway.
During the game, Pyun Kang discovers On Dal's 'problem.'
She gets him a helpful club. I may have squealed.
And she binds his wrist during the match.
I finished four eps and then I stopped, mainly because I got too pissed off that after overcoming all his handycaps (pain due to his condition and also to evil stepbrother messing with Pyun Kang) and winning, On Dal got disqualified on a technicality.
