What is your favorite icon meme

So, I thought it would be fun to find out.

What is your favorite icon, who/what is in it, and why is it a fave? If you have three icons or over a hundred, is there a favorite?

Mine is most likely this:



It's actually one of my oldest icons, as I get quite fickle, but I've had this one for a looong time.

It is Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai, the OTP of a Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, which is an adaptation of a Japanese manga revolving around a really strong-willed and socially dysfunctional rich boy and even more strong-willed and utterly plucky poor girl.

Why do I love it so? I love the colors, and I am very fond of shots of people's backs (it is always a little mysterious and keeps you guessing), and the muted but vibrant tones set off by the pink of her bag. It's also one of the rare purely quiet and joyful moments for the OTP.

But I mainly love it because it's a very romantic yet anonymous image. Just a young couple in love, strolling. And that is why the backs thing is so cool: it strips it of being particular characters, in a sense. They could be anyone anywhere. Tall guy, short girl, nice morning and young love.

God, too many favourites atm! My old school favourite has to be this Kajol icon which I'm probably never getting rid of but another longtime favourite is:



My angsty icon with gorgeous manga art. It's just such beautiful sadness captured in one small image. Plus greyscale, I love greyscale. The manga was a shounen ai one called Dousaibou Seibutsu, I read it online a few years back, it was awesome and poetic.

i think it would be this one.... its not recent and i had to make it from a screencap but it conveys the whole emotion of the relief that tsukushi felt and the love that tsukasa feels for her...

and it might have to do with the obsession of HYD... but i loved how the screencap happened

I think from the icons I've made myself, I like the Abhi/Lara icon the best. It's also among the oldest of my icons, since I like to change them every now and then to reflect changes in my obsessions interests :).

Of the icons someone else has made, I currently like this one the best.

I think only an icon about John and Lara from the waterfall bit in "Dil Main Hulchul" could be better... Abhi/Lara really is hot!

And I just realized I don't have Dil Main Hulcul! Immediately rushes off to to dl somewhere, anywhere!

Ah that's definitely romantic love icon :) In response to your question, I will be selecting from the ones that are active right now since I mostly just have time to post. I don't even get to use the ones I download these days :( like some LG cons. Anyway, I choose the pink one for Lovely Complex, the "almost there kiss" because they're both really cute and wacky.
