OMG, the wedding was the best thing ever and so reminded me of John/Aeryn wedding, what with getting married in middle of battle and being officiated by a nutter.

Also, Will is INCREDIBLY awesome. Only beaten by Elizabeth's awesomeness.

OMG, this is the best icon EVER. I kept thinking Farscape, with the crazy glee and the middle of the fight (and the fact that the nice wedding earlier didn't come off, this insane one did) though it's up in the air, who is nuttier, Barbosa or Stark.

I think Stark definitely beats Barbossa in the batshit crazy department, but yeah, total similarities. And in both cases, I love that they tried the whole traditional wedding thing and it totally didn't work. It's very fitting.

XLN didn't freak so much as she just went "oh, he doesn't love me, i guess i'll just disappear without a word" i mean, she's been out about about in the world enough now(at least a year and a half to two years) to have picked up a little common sense. It just felt like an utter lack of faith to me.

But really(as you'll see soon) it was just a plot device to separate them...she's forgotten all about it by the time they're reunited.

She was going to leave but I think it was a momentary thing and then she got sidetracked with chasing rapists. If she didn't, she would have come back sooner as she would have realized things, IMO. But I don't blame her actually, I would have freaked if I heard my bf say stuff like that :)

It was poorly handled, IMO. All we see is her overreaction(and she knows he dislikes Fu and he's made it extremely clear there will and can never be anyone else for him) and while yes, she MAY have realized the truth and come right back, it becomes obvious they just needed an excuse to separate them and then forgot to follow up on it.

(also, calixa and I talked about this when I saw it, but Crystal Liu's character in Chinese Paladin has an even stronger reaction to less, except there she encountered a mutual friend immediately after who told her exactly what really happened and she ignored him, convinced he'd cheated when he hadn't, and we both immediately associated the 2 plotpoints...but really, it was TPTB falling down on the followthrough)

I don;t know, does she know he doesn't like Fu? She hasn't been privy to a lot of their interactions. Just as she wasn't privy to his searches for her. It worked for my, but I understand that it's a very subjective thing.

loved how norrington redeemed himself in her eyes... but like seriously she was never really into him, it was always will maybe jack but never norrington, his like the guy friend that has a crush on you but like your not into him so you try to let him down gently but you still want to be friends.... i don't know but thats how i think...

The wedding was the best part of the movie. It was so in character for all of them.

I adored Will, who went from naive sidekick to ambiguous good guy, but who never faltered in loving Elizabeth.

That really is his most basic quality, lovig her unconditionally.

I find it so awesome that he did go ambiguous: he was still honorable but he knew he couldn't get what he wanted surrounded by double crossers.

Action, surreal/beautiful scenery (I LOVED multiple Jack Sparrows and the stone crabs, the journey to Javy Jones' Locker looked fantastic), romance, betrayals. What's not to love :).

I must say Will grew up nicely. He was kind of a tool in the first movie, but now - pure awesome.

Elizabeth's my favorite though. She takes nothing standing down!

OMG! I saw it...ehhh!! It was sooo good and sooo much better than I expected...it was annoying because everyone kept saying how bad it was...whatever! I loved it!!
Before we saw it (I went with about 12 of my friends as a post-exam reweard:P) we watched the first two movies so a lot of the stuff was fresh in my memory and made sense...geez what a great movie:P
