No, I haven't yet seen Pirates of the Caribbean (tomorrow though, hell or high water).

But OMG, I found clips on youtube and OMG my OTP! Will/Elizabeth are SO kdrama now. SQUEE

'Depends on the one day?' Now I am d-e-d. Seriously. Oh so AWESOME. Guuuh, I always go for good boys for a reason.

Oh, you are going to love it. Like I've already gushed about in my LJ, I haven't ever adored Will in these films until now. I am slaaaain after At World's End. And a lot of that's because of... well, what happens with him and Elizabeth.

i loved this movie but i understood why people hate it... but seriously will turner turned major hottie in this i mean he was handsome before but this time his so swoon worthy and i hate that he only gets to see her every ten years for a day.... *i would say more but i don't want to spoil it*

Re: 10 years thing. I read that what the writers intended (they confirmed) is that the curse only lasts for 10 years if Elizabeth is true and she is so from now on they get to live happily ever after...

I was pissed at the ending. And if what the writers intended was the curse ends - well, they did a pathetic job conveying that. And I don't believe it either. That would contradict everything else they did state in the movie. But I'm sure that will be discussed more once you do see it. Tomorrow?

I haven't seen it yet (yup, tomorrow is the day) so have no idea if it's handled well or not, but apparently there was the whole subplot that got edited out about Davy and Calipso and why he is so mad is that she didn't show after 10 years so he was condemned to eternity of this. Since Liz showed up, Will is OK.

Apparently the writers stated that at some forum or other (I can dig up the links if you want, and I've seen it discussed various places on my flist but don't remember where. I think elvensapphire, crumpeteer, carrielh mentioned it but there must have been others too).

So it's in the script but explicitness got chopped out in editing room.
