Ha, I watch that whenever I need a reminder of how hot and cute they once were together. Best part-it shows how completely lame all of their season 3 kisses were-the library kiss was about the only good one. Anyway, I do miss those two.
I used to be so crazy for them. They got me back into writing fanfic even (that and BSG). Oh God, I think I read every L/V fanfic there ever was, once upon a time, and watched my DVDs until they had holes in them, almost.
No matter my disppointment with S3, I will always love S1 and 2. I'll always have that giddy feeling.
I've actually never read or written any VM fanfic... although I love many things, I read/write fanfic very rarely without special circumstances (Smallville, Harry Potter, LotR)
I've never seen BSG. It's been one of the things that I always meant to watch but never did, despite being told by many, many people that I HAD to see it...
Veronica Mars, despite everything, was one of the best shows on TV ever. Even at its lowest it was still a million times better than many shows on TV.
I think I might actually go and rewatch S1 and 2 of VM now, as a sort of tribute. I started a rewatch of S1 some months back, with obsessive meta and all, but then got sidetracked. Time to restart...
I like to pretend that there was no season 3. Although, I have to admit that I stopped watching after the first third of the season. I just...couldn't. It wasn't even the same show anymore. It's sad that it got cancelled, but honestly, it deserved it. Another example of a show self-combusting all too soon. *cough*Roswell*cough*
This post is actually making me want to start on those VM S2 DVDs of mine. I got them when they were released, but then this thing called Asian dramas took over my life and I still haven't started watching them :P. And I used to be obsessive about the series!
And it's good to have heard (from many people) that S3 isn't worth getting, so I can safely pretend that the show ends with the last episode of S2 :). I'm also happy to say that I have managed to remain relatively unspoiled for the latter half of VM S2, since it and BSG are among the few shows that I do avoid spoilers for...
S2 is uneven but overall really enjoyable. And the end of it would have been the perfect end to the series, IMO. Oh well. Stay away from S3, definitely.

Date: 2007-05-23 03:21 am (UTC)Oh well.
And to think how scared I was it wouldn't come back for S3.
A lot of their chemistry seemed missing in S3.

Date: 2007-05-24 02:26 am (UTC)At least with Roswell, flaws and all, it gave the viewers closure, brought the OTPs together at the end, etc. Nothing like that here.
