(Because Brilliant Legacy made me think of Bali, Bali made me think of Jo In Sung, and Jo In Sung made me think of Spring Day).

Once I finish Brilliant Legacy, I think I will continue with SD, a drama I started some time ago, liked, and got sidetracked.

The story of Spring Day is the standard kdrama fodder - two half-brothers in love with the same woman, amnesia, muteness, evil parents etc. I love all that stuff but let's be honest: I am in it for my biggest (with the exception of Kang Ji Hwan) kdrama crush: Jo In Sung (come back soon from the army, oppa! :P)

You might know him as the bi bodyguard from that gay period epic Frozen Flower or the beyond-dysfunctional rich boy of Bali or the thuggish small-time gangster of A Dirty Carnival - all awesome dramas/movies, btw.

Clearly inspired by his role in Bali (the only huge phenom drama out there that I adore, btw), he plays a high-strung son of horrible, controlling parents. His father is a total jerk. Granted, he doesn't beat him into unconsciousness with golf-clubs (Bali's Dad wins 'worst drama dad' competition, quite impressively) but he does smack him around, which doesn't strike me as effective parenting. Daddy is a head of a hospital so has decided both his kids should be doctors. The older son (the hunky, obedient Ji Jin Hee) loves the job, but Jo In Sung is about the worst doctor in creation - I think it's time to let your kid do something else when he repeatedly keeps telling you the sight of blood makes him faint. JID' Mom is a total piece of work - she dotes on her 'baby' but is horrible to her stepson, the product of Doctor Daddy's first marriage. Ji Jin Hee is lovely and sane but as the story starts, he goes off to look for birth mom. This being a kdrama, he finds Mom only to get into a car wreck, with her dying and him in a coma.

Did I mention that before all of this, Ji Jin Hee became friends with a beautful mute woman (mute from trauma, not bilogically). They fell in love and he restored her speech. But after the accident, when she comes to the city looking for her OTP, guess who falls in love with her? Yup, her oppa's younger brother. He is younger than she is, he is a mess, and he is her boyfriend's sibling...

Sign me up!

From what I've read, it was supposed to have the heroine end up with Ji Jin Hee, the older bro, but they decided to go another way. EEEEE!

Blahblahblah words, I just want to see this scene:

Anyway, in some ways he basically plays a male Seung Mi (from Brilliant Legacy), only if Seung Mi weren't evil :)

I am going to love it!
