Is there some sort of special factory in Asia?

Just finished watching Hong Kong movie Legend of Speed about some risky street-racing. The movie itself is nothing to scream about from the rooftops though it's not bad at all for the type of movie it is: no pretentions to intellectual splendor or deep emotional truths. Just some hot men, hot girls, and fast cars, with a bit of angst, redemption and revenge thrown in.

But who cares about any of that when it stars Ekin Cheng, who is not only incredibly sexy, but is prone to wearing leather (whether hot or amusing depending on the ensemble) or walking shirtless and who angsts so incredibly well and he gets to angst a loooooot.

Why have I never seen him before?

Seriously.

I do have The Stormriders, a fantasy wuxia movie with him that I never got around to watching, but now I think I simply must ASAP.

lol...yeah...i was "hmmm...i wanna get a movie too because i feel a binge coming"(then said binge got sidetracked 1 movie in by handsome siblings, but who cares?) "any period ones I haven't...ooo...meant to get stormriders last time."(and didn't because i got dragon tiger gate instead...there's this cycle thing going here or something...)

It is a little eerie, isn't it?

Uhm...I got the version the reg person had. I hope I didn't get the cut version...that's what I (accidentally) did w/ warriors of xu and that's probably why it sucked.

DTG...I got forgottenpolish to watch it and she was fanning herself 5 minutes in and never stopped...

Ohhhh, Legend of Speed!!! *whispering* I like it!

Ekin Cheng for me is kind of a guilty pleasure :S Everybody says he isn't a good actor and well I think I've decided he does well one or two parts but I enjoy watching his movies. I recommend you the Young and Dangerous series (they are 6 movies). I also enjoyed Heroic Duo with Leon Lai (one of my Hong Kong loves ;)), Anna in Kung Fu Land, that is pretty funny, The Duel with Andy Lau, and Tokyo Raiders (although in this one all the credit goes to Tony Leung). I have Divergence and Leave me alone, two of his most recent movies in my 'to watch' list but I haven't yet although they both look interesting.

I actually saw Divergence at a film fest last summer and really liked it. Once I read your post, I went to see who EC played in it, and heeeee. He played the lawyer and I remember thinking 'whoa, the lawyer guy is HOT.'

Apparently my tastes are consistent :P

ohh ekin cheng!!!!!! i love him and i have seen him in a lot of movies cause his just awesome to me anyways... and the stormriders is a must watch i love it... and his character is wind.... and if you want him out of his costume garb i watched tokyo raiders... but it was dubbed and i would rather have seen in subbed..

i don't know but i truly think there is an asian hot guy factory...
