Oh, Taiyou No Kisetsu.



Shinji, shut the hell up. Seriously. I used to like you, but wtf. Talk about inapproproate boundaries. When he tries to interfere between Tatsuya and Eiko and later asks Tatsuya who is more important to him, he Shinji or Eiko like the answer 'Shinji' should be obvious? WTF. He is not your boyfriend. The guy clearly has a god complex.

But I love it how Tatsuya just freaks when he thinks Shinji's words might make her leave and runs looking for her and finds her and tells her she is not a burden and then he actually comes clean to the rich kids and Shinji about Eiko and his friend and everything. Love. Though Shnji will probably murder him now.

And OMG, the scene with him and his friend racing and Eiko 'refereeng' and then OMG OMG the scene with the piano where she teaches him to play and it's such a delight. I love.

I also watched the ending of the drama, not just that one little bit.



Even though I haven't yet watched the intervening 4+ hours, if they wanted to make me cry, they succeeded. But the whole kissing of the dying girl, and running the race anyway because she made him, and screaming her name and collapsing and then at the end some timelater he is walking and he is thinking she isn't dead because he remembers her so 'I have no choice but to live' and waaaaaaaah.

WAAAAH.

I know Takki angsts beautifully but I want a fluffy drama with him now.

Takki just needs to do more dramas in general. I mean, he's so pretty and he acts so well... I was tring to convince my friend to watch Boku Dake No Madonna with me and she was hemming and hawing until I showed her Takki's picture and her face was pretty much :O. "OMG, he's so pretty!"

She's going to watch it now :D

I need to see this drama because you keep posting about it and make me want to watch it despite the fact that I normally avoid sad dramas (unless they're Ichi Rittoru No Namida) like the plague...

have you seen satomi hakkenden? There's angst, but the bulk of the cast survives and he and his lifelong love(the girl from Tatta Hittotsu no Koi) get marry and are off to get to work on the baby making at the end.

Oh, just wait. There's a fantastic scene coming up (I think ep 7, but maybe it's 8...) that just... oh, it redeems much of the wrong in the drama, because it's just. so. good.

This is uneven (nothing that a little slective ffing won't cure :)) but when it's good (i.e. when the OTP is involved) it's really good.

Your posts are really making me want to continue with this drama, since I've seen the first episode of it.

I did check out the ending even before even starting properly on it, because the 'voiceover of doom' in the beginning made me certain it was probably going to end badly :P.

And I still haven't restarted on MnJ yet...

You should. It's so good. And the parts that aren't as good, that's what the ff button is for :) (I ff now and again through most dramas while reading subs, because I get impatient :))

How far are you? MnJ is one of my faves, my third most favorite jdrama (behind Pride and Kurosagi and tied with Beautiful Life (or above it depending on my mood)). It has angst and gorgeous Takki and a happy ending. What more could one want? :)

I think you are the only person who is watching more dramas at the same time than I am :)

Hey, I'm still under 10 dramas at the same time, so I'm not that bad :).

I'm halfway through MnJ, the last episode I watched was no.5, so I haven't even gotten to the majorly angsty parts yet. But I'm fickle and my drama watching depends very much on my mood, so I just haven't felt like starting on it again. At the moment I'm much more interested in continuing with Taiyou no Kisetsu and, of course, my current #1 passion is Yamapi's ProDai :).

I also have a practical reason for continuing TnK, since it currently takes almost half the space on my computer's harddrive (=measly 30Gb) and I'm starting to run out of room :P.

Ok. You've re-convinced me to put this high on my to-be-watched list. The ending may be sad but everything else just sounds so squeeish. And even the ending sounds beautiful in that horribly sad but still so good way.

ACK! I just finished it. Oh..I had feeling the whole drama when he voiceover saying that we should have never met. *weeps some more* I feel so heartbroken thanks to him. I'm honestly glad it wasn't him that died I'll probably be a bigger mess. I feel like I need a fluffy drama with him as well. I wonder if Boku Wa Madonna is fluffy. Have you seen it?

I didn't like BDNM (the heroine annoyed the heck out of me) but it is fluffy. How about Strawberry on Shortcake? haven't seen it but it's with Takki and has a happy end.

Seems like lots of people were annoyed with the heroine in Madonna. :( Is it still worth checking out because of Takki? I liked Strawberry on Shortcake though it's not really fluffy. I guess the only Takki dorama I have left that's worth checking out is Forbidden Love then.

Takki is good in it, but I really rec Forbidden Love instead. It's angsty but it has a happy ending!
