I just saw the promo pics for Piz and Veronica and my one comment is

BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Not only do they look utterly bored together, but does the photographer hate Piz? I don't care for Chris Lowell and find Piz as exciting as dirt but he isn't hideous.

However, in the photograph he has hair from hell, some sort of acne around his mouth, and the sweater (I am charitable) is making him look like he needs to lay off the dumplings, stat.

Jeez, people, if you want to bust the OTP for the show, at least make the other guy some shining eye candy. Ummm, even without being compared to Logan 'hipbones of doom' Echolls, this is one unattractive package. If I were single and a guy who looked like that hit on me in a bar, he'd have to have a hell of a sparkling personality :D

Heh. Because Meteor Garden formula totally works. It's sort of like first season of VM, with Duncan=Lei (only Lei is much more awesome) and Logan=DMS. Her getting together with Piz is if ShanCai ended up dating what's his name...the lame friend of hers from school :)

Um, from the other pics in the series, I think looking bored and sad is kind of the point of that shot. ITA about the hair, though. Piz's hair is so sad, I'd consider anti-depressants.

As a matter of semantics, however, can a show have an OTP? I thought that was a fan choice. And for that matter, if Veronica Mars did have an OTP, I'd have to say it was Keith and Veronica. But, y'know, not that way.

Re: OTP. I am using it in the sense of 'main romantic couple in the story.' Insofar as VM has one, it's L/V. It's also the OTP for the fandom, even if not for some individual fans. I think it's a really fluid term :)

well I am beyond sick of Logan Echolls, I think JD is overrated and I actually like Piz(though I have no desire to see him hook with Veronica at all)but I agree that picture is awful, he looks dreadful.

That's the thing. Chris Lowell is a good looking guy (he's a CW actor, he'd have to be :D) but in that shot he looks plain awful.

yeah, that shot is terrible. personally, I think he could use a different hair style. but he's cute, there's no reason he should look that bad when shot by a professional. unless the photographer is a huge LoVe fan or something;)

I think they look so bored and crappy because they've realized that we'll HATE this new couple. I mean c'mon. What's his face/Veronica can not COMPARE to Logan/Veronica.
Geez he does look bad and Kristen Bell looks like she had to be forced to take that pic considering the look on her face...oh well maybe they'll get some sense and end it b4 it REALLY goes down the drain.
