My Love Patzzi glee

dangermousieAbout forty minutes into My Love Patzzi and you know what?
I totally LOVE Kim Rae Won's character in this!
He is so remarkably normal and fun and unmessed up.
Plus, KRW is one of those actors, where if you just look at a pic, you won't think he is drop dead gorgeous or anything, but he is totally charming and irresistable on screen.
And OMG! His character. Is totally written to amuse and appeal to me. He has yummy looking arms, wears ratty jeans, and he trains seals! In an amusement park! And he is a college student putting himself through school and supporting his family. And he seems cheerful, opportunistic (will do quite a few things for a won :P), and has a total temper that cools down really quickly.
And he and the heroine (who I will totally refer to as Patzzi from now on) bicker-fight adorably throughout. And he gets on his friend's case for leading Patzzi on (his friend is trying to get to Patzzi's hot 'friend') even though he has no interest in Patzzi himself (yet), because that's just not on. And he is awesomely straightforward, telling Hee-Won he used to crush on her through school, up through two years ago. And when she asks him about his gf status he says he doesn't have one currently, but OMG, neitherof these statements is a veiled attempt at flirting or trying to pick her up or anything, he just states things the way they are.
And did I mention he has some sort of chest pains that ended up with Patzzi having to take him to the hospital and we got ominous scenes lie doctor telling him that he needs to have surgery stat and his response that he can't, he needs to earn money stat. And then he walks out, and scams Patzzi for the bill :P If this was a serious kdrama, I'd be stocking on my tissues and blacks right about now, but since it's funny and fluffy and (most importantly) I peeked at the end, I can just glee about the potential for drama with this and sit back and relax.

I looked at My Little Bride DVD cover and was a bit iffy (it does NOT help the cover shows them in bed, her eating a lollipop - roffle), especially when the YesAsia page described him as a "Korean heart-throb" and I was like, "That passes for a heart-throb in Korea?". But of course he was so totally hot in the movie and I wanted to be his little bride etc and so on. :D
My Love Patzzi sounds more like my thing than What Star Are You From.. I was fine with the girl in that in MNIKSS but the whole "dead-gf-lookalike-is-my-new-love!" is a tad iffy to me.
