I am crying and pinching my arms to keep from more crying. I just finished ep 15 of Snow Queen.

This is one of the best dramas I've ever seen. And I don't think I could watch it again.

Because OMG! She cooked for him, first time in her life. And he is so sweet to her and she is so in love with him. And she keeps watching him and he is so happy for the first time in a really long time but so nervous of losing that happiness and so heartbreakingly open to her.

And they clean the gym together and he carries her around on the street. And he sneaks peeks at wedding dresses. And she wakes him up in the morning and he drags her on the bed with him, and later he teaches her to box and she tries to 'attack' him.

And the lily of the valley dried flower crumbles and oh no.

And she finds out she is dying and her reaction kills me because it's not fear for self it's the agonized plea to Geon-Woo that she mustn't die because it will kill Tae-Woong. Because 'he's only now began to be happy, a little' and her death would plunge him into misery again.

And he solved that math problem and his wish (she said she'd grant a wish if he solved that math problem) is to marry her and he buys a ring and he proposes to her. And OMG she runs off. And he is so sweet and uncomprehending 'did I do something wrong?' and she tries to push him away by saying it's too hard for her here and she'll go home and he is OMG OMG OMG he has actually learned to want and he tells her he can't let her go even if it makes him a bad guy but she leaves anyway and gets herself admitted to the hospital. The scene where she leaves and his face and her face and...just thinking about it, I am crying.

(I sort of found the actor who plays Geon-Woo lacking in the scene where she gets admitted but oh well. Hyun Bin and Sung Yuri make up for that in expressiveness).

But she can't stay there and she is all 'I shouldn't have left him, without telling the truth' and she runs out of the hospital but she collapses and she is near comatose.

And OMG OMG OMG. Tae-Woong is in the hospital and she finds out about Bo-Ra and he is begging Geon-Woo to say it's not true and the orderlies are holding him abck because he wants to go into the ER and he is screaming her name and it's the hideous replay of Jang-Gyu's death only a thousand times worse.

And then she wakes up and opens her eyes and he is by her and he whispers she shouldn't have tried to leave him and she whispers she knows and he says will she grant his wish now and she says yes and he takes her hand and omg omg 'Never leave me again. Don't leave my side.'

I am dead.

I both hate and love this drama in equal measure. I've taken to muting the sound because I can't bear to hear the anguish in their voices.

Argh, the scene with him in the hospital trying to find her and having to be held back while losing his composure was so intense..

This show is definitely one of the best I've seen.

And the thing is, he is usually so reserved and mild-mannered,even when falling apart. We've never seen him lose it like that, not since JG died. He feels deeply just not too much on dramatics. So it shows how much it must hurt him for him to lose all of his so much ingraned self-control.

It just kills me, that scene.

I'm watching episode 14 on Youtube, despite having never seen a second of this drama before, just so I can see for myself.

YOU ARE SUCH AN ENABLER. (But I still love you, Mousie. ♥)

LOL. Does it even make sense without the other 13 eps? :)

And how does it come across?

So, I don't know any of the characters' names, and I don't really know the premise, except for the fact that their love is doomed for reasons I don't know or understand (I got that from the background music and sweeping visuals), but it is not hard at all to get into the OTP. It looks like this series is probably going to make me burst into tears with each scene, though, so I think I may have to put it aside for a bit. (I just finished watching 1 Liter of Tears, which, while excellent, has rendered me incapable of additional drama-angst for a little while.)

That said, Snow Queen looks really, really pretty, and I think it might be the next depressing Korean drama I watch, once I get over my need for rampant rom-com.

SQ is really really good.

I have 1 Litre of Tears but have been putting it off because of the angst. After SQ, I got my angst quota for the month...

It's so good but it makes me so depressed and so happy at the same time.
