Done. I feel sort of bereft, because Legend was a drama that sort of ate up my life, a first in a very long time (I watch a lot, but not too often in such an obsessive fashion).

What shall I do with self? :)

Accountant/Jumuchi finally, eeeeeeee! This was one of the cutst things ever. Especially since she had to make the first move, he was too terrified :)

'I am supposed to be entering foreign territory in secret with throngs of soldiers around me? Will that make me safe?' Oh DD. You are right, but it's also your deep seated tendency to be alone (he is very kind and affable-mannered, but with walls miles thick, and after Sujini left, there is no one to truly drag him out), and fear to have others hurt on your behalf. If you risk only yourself, you don't mind.

No matter the concealment, the look in DD's eyes, of someone used to command, is unconcealable.

Sujini might have long hair and clothes and a spare baby :D (which is why she took a sedentary job and didn't off herself) but she is still going to go fight. YESSS. If she and DD do not meet, I will do something drastic.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is asking Later Yan prince who told him things about Gogureyo and LYP says they have a teacher from there and during that whole convo he is barely containing himself and then is 'may I meet the teacher?' and the look on his face!

DD is in a good mood! Fight against awful odds, possibility of finding Sujini=good day.

He is going to save LYP because he has something to ask him, heeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I literally started making gaspy noises at the computer. He senses her nearby in the middle of conversation and stills and looks around all over and she is staring at him behind a pillar and OHHHHHHHHHHHH

The night battle was amazing and how quickly the four of them cut through. LYP was all o_O. DD likes fighting with those chosen friends, not soldiers as much because they aren't as much of volunteers :)

Sujini observing DD drinking and both are thinking of each other but she runs away again...MY HEART, IT IS BROKEN.

The bow he has, since he is the Jooshin King, can destroy the sacred symbols AND the gods of heaven? I can see him using it, you know.

Or not, as if it's destroyed, not only will he and the symbols die, but the guardians too.

Heeee, DD is all 'why must we keep pushing them [Accountant and Jumuchi] together?' and General: 'Why don't you give them an imperial order?' LOL You should be the last to comment on denseness of men, DD.

EEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Yes! At last! Jumuchi hugged Accountant Lady!!!!! Heeeee. Eeeee! Other exclamations. Clearly, putting on armor is this drama's version of foreplay.

OK, he looks good even with a beard (time jump!!!). I give up. It must be either a genetic mutation or my brain has gone wonky.

DD, that was HARCORE (with King Ashin). My eyes went o_O, seriously!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG

That whole bit where he decides that what he is fighting against is heaven!!!! And he says 'being the Jooshin King, the four sacred symbols, do you know how much I hate them? Do you know how much I have lost because of them? My mother, my father, my people...I want to establish the Jooshin nation without the help of Heaven.' And then he talks about heaven: 'people begging, entreating it for teachings, crying out for help. Is that what heaven wants?' He wants to establish a country without heaven's help or meddling.

And then he holds that vial of his mother/Sujini!!!! I really do think Sujini's leaving, because of foretold/arbitrary symbols thing must have been the last straw, in his loathing of heaven's exertion of unquestioning slavish obedience.

'Where are you and what are you doing?' *dead*

Oh, and he is still looking for her, futily, even after 9 years.

This isn't really liveblogging, because I was not coherent enough to type up anything after the first three times I saw the reunion scene. I basically rewatched it in a loop.

Now I think I am a bit more coherent. We'll see.

The longing on their faces! All that repressed longing of years and OMG. I am crying again.

He walks so slowly, as if he is afraid he will wake from a dream.

'I will never let you go again.' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When she says she is leaving? His response? 'Do as you wish. If you won't come with me, then I'll go to you. All I need is to be with you.' OMG. And when she says he is a king and should be at the palace? 'From this moment on, where you are is where my palace is.'

Jumuchi and Sujini and Chuh Ro reunion is adorable.

Oh no, Evil Elder finds out about the kid.

DD with that kid is the most adorable thing in history.

OMG, he tells Sujini Ba Son made armor for her and he took it everywhere with him in case he ran into her. And asks her if she stopped drinking because she was afraid she'd fall asleep and he find her.

She makes him promise not to hesitate when she turns 'black phoenix.' And he promises but says he will act his own way, not according to something heaven says.

HO GAE. How come you just get hotter? And yes, for him it is STILL all about Kiha. 'I never wanted the power of heaven. What would I use it for, even if I had it.'

Lots of things happen and some time passes. I prefer to believe that during this time, DD decides to deal with his insomnia by making out with Sujini like there is no tomorrow. YES.

Hwachun took the child blah blah gotterdamerung is coming, but all I care for is the way he holds her shoulders when she is upset.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He finds out it's his son. With Kiha.

The Sujini/DD scene that follows kills me in so many ways, because he is so stunned by the enormity of it: that she took his child with another woman (because it was before they even were a thought of a couple, but still) and protected him by herself, all these years (kids was the reason she stayed in hiding). He whispers 'What do I say to you?' OMG

The scene with Kiha and Ho Gae is incredible, because she intends to die after her victory and he can't bear it. Oh Ho Gae. 'What can I do to save you?' And that is why, no matter how far you descend, I can never hate you. Because you can love like this.

And she makes him promise to wait for her in her next life. And touches his armor and his hand covers hers, and when she takes her hand away, his curls on the spot where hers has been. OMG. Oh, how I love this drama. Almost as much as Ho Gae loves Kiha.

DD is riding into battle, and guess who is at his back again? SUJINI

DD's battle speech made me want to charge off with him. OMG. And of course he is at the front, what a surprise.

He loves battle, you can tell by his eyes. Maybe because at that moment, there is no time for second-guessing, or worry? It's like his brain can rest.

By looking at Sujini's face, oh, she missed fighting too. And you know, even Ho Gae is joyful, because it's resolution at last.

That battle scene made my eyes pop out of my sockets.

Oh, Julno Elder :( But he was happy with his last sight.

That's a bit of a sudden cut, Sujini going off to Hwachun fortress. I wonder if they had to cut out some explanatory scene for time reasons? I mean, she was in a middle of a battle. Hmm. And now the Evil Elder says DD is winning and breached their defenses so I suppose so. I wonder why they had to cut it out.

Kiha meets her kid, who is adorable. But kind of zoned. Midieval version of prozac?

Oh General, don't die! :(

I am a sick individual but battle-clad DD, weeping, with his cheek smeared with blood, is beyond HOT.

The final fight with Ho Gae and DD broke my heart. Also, how interesting. HG didn't bother picking up a sword, at the last. Seriously, do all men in this have death wishes? Yup.

And they just don't break eye contact, until HG's close and he crumples to the ground.

DD looks almost shell-shocked.

KIHA IS THE BLACK PHOENIX. See, stupid turtle people, you drove Sujini away from DD for almost ten years and you were WRONG!!! WRONG!! I am glad Hwachun offed you, honest.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! DD shilded Sujini and the kid with his own body!!!!!!

That whole final scene was not describable so I won't. 'I will return Heaven's power to Heaven.'

The ultimate alone, for-good-of-others, suicidal mission. Of course you jump at the chance, DD.

Any woman who can smile at her man at that moment is incredible. And better than me.

The end.

Do you know, I actually thought it was a very fitting and perfect ending, and I like the somewhat openness of it.

But the thought of DD outstubborning/outmaneuvering/outreasoning Heaven is just incredibly appealing. And he did, since we know he came back. And once he came back, I am sure, sure, SURE he and Sujini made a lot of babies. YES. And she made him laugh.
