Rather related to my SQ squee? HYUN BIN. He is so gorgeous I sort of space out occasionally just staring at him. He is definitely my choice in fictional casting :D for Snow Drop as the male protagonist (Hae-Gi, I think?). YUM.

(Also, the scariness that ensued in the soompi thread when it turned out he has a RL gf, was…interesting. Oddly, most people seemed to be most upset that it meant he won’t hook up with a costar instead. Bizarre).

And this title simply wins because this title is the shortest, most straightforward and succint summary of most Mary Sue fic out there:

God, I really need to start watching Snow Queen because I loved Hyun Bin so much in My Name Is Kim Sam Soon (and okay, I'll admit it, I did like him in A Millionaire's First Love despite the fact that the movie was total crack, because he was anguished and pretty).

The Soompi fanfiction section is both amusing and terrifying. It reminds me of why I love those forums so much in the first place!

Haven't seen Ireland, but alexandral tried it (she really likes Hyun Bin) and didn't care for it and the plot didn't sound so appealing, so I stayed away. Let me know if it's good if you do retry.

i think Hyun Bin made it known awhile ago that he had someone special but when its finally announced who it is fangirls go crazy. i think him & Hwang Ji-Hyeon make a cute couple.

Hyun Bin is my koren boyfriend.. he's so prettiful. And he's in my favorite drama of all time (japanese, korean and taiwanese included): My Name is Kim Sam Soon.

BTW, have you downloaded Lovers? I just watched the first ep and it's really cool. Not too much happened, but the heroine is great. She has personality. And men in suits... can't tell you that didn't help.. :P

sjdgajgf those soompi fanfics are hilarious. Or you know, hilarious(ly bad). I love how they reflect Korean entertainment clichés, like the various "My ___" titles. I did the mistake of going through one of the various Goong sequel ones. It was VERY peculiar, the setting was really just ...too weird to describe. Besides being massively OOC, of course.

Ohmygod. First omg because Hyun Bin is just plain hot but secondly omg because people are photoshopping him into pictures with Kim Sun-ah (the leading lady of MNIKSS). I've been surfing soompi too long when that doesn't shock me at all anymore.

Also, wow, I just realized how much you need to watch MNIKSS, especially if you own it and don't have to invest on it anymore. Really, when I finished it, I was like "Okay, that was good" but the more I look back on it, the better it seems. The heroine is the usual kdrama heroine *awesome* and Hyun Bin's an ass (but eventually adorably so) plus Daniel Henney is just the cutest and otherwise it's light and comedic and so realistic but not in a depressing way. So much goodness.

There are a LOT of hyun bin- kim sun ah shippers at soompi! Crazy, bec. if I remember correctly Sun-Ah was already in a long term relationship when she did MNIKSS. Dunno now though.

seriously, you're too good. some of the soompi fanfix titles are hilarious. but you'll be surprised- a lot of them are pretty good! cliche storylines, of course, but entertaining nevertheless.
